Their fanbases are the most garbage than the anime that they're saying is "trash".

They are some genre/demographic racist, that's all. When a popular anime is shounen mainstream, majority of people will call it masterpiece or whatever. If the popular one is romance, I'm sure they will call it boring and trash and spit some shit.

The problem of some people nowadays, they want to go straight into action. Fruits Basket had some buildups before the main story so people found it "boring" or whatever. If a show go straight into action, they will say the show is fast paced or rushed. Is that a joke?

Lol romance animes now are copy cat stories of older animes. Look at Kaguya sama, it is a copy cat of school rumble but the author took an inspiration to it. Tokyo revengers is a copy cat of erased. Romance animes now are cringy and cliche. Only Fruits Basket is the only decent romance that I've watched. Animes from 2010-2017 are well written but now, all those animes are waifu bait and cringy af. Fanservices are overreacting.

I sometimes watch ecchi but not too ecchi like Neon Genesis Eva. I count the story in Ecchi anime so I want to watch Ecchi anime that has sense. It is fun to watch some animes that are hidden and even the score is low because Mal scores are joke. I watched Love Hina for example, it is the dirst harem romance shounen that was famous long ago and the birth of the harem romcoms like Rent a girlfriend, The Quintessential Quintuplets, etc. That anime is so freaking hilarious lmao and also the romance plot is amazing. First anime that was voiced by Yui Horie, my favorite VA (She's like Kana Hanazawa in the old age lol). Love Hina is also ecchi but not too ecchi. Ecchi jokes perhaps.

Yeah that's the one. The best friend of MC is the little brother of the Ai Nanasaki and he said some details about his older sister. Well btw, Amagami SS is better than Seiren but the soundtrack is good also. If you want some romance anime like Amagami SS, watch Kimikiss Pure Rogue. It is also the creator of Amagami SS but it is not in omnibous format but it has a solid romance plot drama. Love triangle perhaps but it has deep drama. Watch also Photokano, same creator of Amagami SS and it is omnibous format like Amagami SS.

Amagami SS is amazing but I don't think there are some waifus there. For me, it's the best girl for Juinichi. I saw you already watched Seiren, which 10 years after Amagami SS+. Did you saw in episode 9 there that there was an easter egg that related to Amagami SS?
