Haha, I think it's safe to assume that you don't come here often at all but I wish I could chat you with more, especially about Hunter x Hunter (As far as the Japanese language study goes, I'm still trying to learn how to write all the different katakana, hirigana, and kanji characters ^^;)
I still read all your posts on your livejournal (did I ever mention that it's a daily habit for me?) but lately I've felt the urge to actually discuss Hunter x Hunter related things with you (actually, I've had that urge for some time now but I've never had the courage to act upon it lol)
In any case, is it easier if I just write comments on your livejournal since I don't own a livejournal account myself?
By the way, thank you SOOO much for all the doujins that you translated! :D I downloaded most of them and now I refer to them as my little treasures XD (Gah, but now it's like I need more to feel satisfied ;__; I was actually think about creating a deviantart account in order to express/share my love for the series....we'll see how that goes lol)

Hi! Sorry for the late reply but I did read your message I soon as I got it! To be honest I feel like I'm talking to a celebrity right now so I was surprised by your fast and lengthy response! (Oh wow my thoughts feel so jumbled right now ^_^;)
Anyway, I actually found your LJ through Naruto forums in the Hunter x Hunter section. Basically, someone made a thread about being a HxH fan and pretty much made a link to your LJ to show how big of a HxH you were in comparison lol.
Wow, 10 years of anime? That's a long time. I'm assuming 10 years of watching anime with subtitles right? I'm at about 8 or 9 years myself since I started back in sixth grade but I don't know if I should count my younger years of watching Speed Racer and Sailor Moon since they were dubbed in English XD (Then again, anime is anime.)
Anyway, thanks for the link! I favorited it instantly lol. I took a sneak peak at it and by the looks of it, learning Japanese as easily as possible for free is a super sweet deal! I gotta wonder though, should I try to email the site's creator in order to officially sign up for the class? I mean, it's really old now (1998!! O_O) so I wonder if that person still maintains that website...
You're so lucky that there is a university there that offers Japanese! (Is there any special reason for that?) I wish there were Japanese classes offered where I live right now but chances are very unlikely -__- By the way, good luck with your studies!
Hmm, I'm definitely going to look up that textbook since I want all the resources I can get. I actually have a textbook of my own,( though I can't remmeber the title at this moment lol) as well as interactive CDs for learning Japanese (unfortunately I don't like using them XD). I also have some other stuff from Japan since I used to live there when I was younger haha. Anyway, knowing that I have more resources and actual encouragment from someone else, I feel like I can actually conquer this language! :D

Just curious, but when and how did you learn Japanese? It's one of my goals to learn the language myself but it's kinda difficult XD I think it's mainly because of all the different characters and rules...

Oh yeah, I don't like to compare them too much usually, but I agree with what you said. That being said, I think waiting week-by-week for the old series would be torture. I watched all ~90 episodes of the old series, OVA, and Greed Island parts in about a week and still wanted more. The new one is faster, not that I don't want more every week still haha. Those filler parts were great and hilarious, but they also made me wish that Hanzo and crew actually showed up and had speaking roles for more of the manga after that. Oh, and the York Shin part was amazingly perfect in the old anime, I hope the new one can live up to it. I also hope that there's more silly slice of life type moments for the cast, the movie should be great fun.
It's okay, and damn, that really sucks. I've had that happen before too, had a bunch of Berserk artbook scans and some other kinda rare things taken down. I only shared the link privately to a few friends and then on here to the user I posted that comment to. Hopefully you can get them all back up and they'll stay in LJ. Anyway, how do you like HxH 2011 compared to the old anime? I think the first one had a better color scheme and some stuff was done better, but the new one has a better pace and I like the art style overall better. I can't wait for Hisoka vs Gon coming up this week.
Sorry about that. I'm actually grateful for the ost, although I didn't get them through LJ, I found them on an imageboard. I didn't mean to insult the person uploading or ripping them, I just meant their quality wasn't too high and they weren't named/tagged. "shitty" was just a pretty strong way to put it. I love HxH and have bought a little bit of merchandise(a Leorio blind box figure) and I'm trying to find the English licensed volumes for a good price. Anyway, sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks a lot for the upload, I really enjoy listening to it, especially tracks 5 and 12 as well as the newer ending song.
