Gotta agree with most of your statements. I'm not much of a monogatari fan (though I consider this series pretty outstanding), but this was definitely one of my favorite arcs so far, mostly for the reasons you've mentioned.
Well, I don't think animation of Nisekoi was bad, but still Hanamonogatari looked more polished at that aspect. Dat music too.

what I liked about Hana is minor changes of character's personalities.
Wasn't surprised to see Kaiki again, but I was confused with his behaviour. He looked more like a comic relief here imo, which felt slighly odd, but still fun.
Was also nice too see Koyomi again as he's grown more mature (or at least how it seemed to me).
But certainly Suruga is who shined the most. The show itself was an amazing portraying of her coming-of-age. Gotta like her even more though she already was one of my fav characters from Monogatari.
Whoa, now I see, thanks for the detailed comparison! Maybe I really should watch Mushishi in a while after finishing first season of NY.
Oh great to see you love ZnT. I think it tops other currently airing anime, still it's not a masterpiece IMO, and yeah the way the leads treat Lisa, and her questionable personality itself seem like a flaw to me. I think comparisons with Death Note are fully justified and I've felt similar vibes while watching ZnT as they're both quite serious and psychological thrillers with mind game elements, but Death Note is far more suspenseful; can't say ZnT constantly keeps me at the edge of my seat, maybe that's why I underestimate it a bit.
Yep it's all about taste I guess :/ I mean, judging by the only episode I've seen long ago Mushishi seems pretty much like Natsume's, but I hope it's a little bit darker/more serious, then I might check it out.
Things I like about Natsume are music (both background and OP/ED themes, yeah) and light-hearted atmosphere, but the show itself is more like a big disappointment. I tried hard but can't feel a single feely feel. Probably coz can't relate neither to Natsume nor to any of those ghosts (should I even?)
You actually can, there's an option for that on the Hummingbird site :)
The community is actually slightly better, but that could be because of the smaller amount of users. Plus, there's a social feed on it, which was the true selling point for me.
Nice, I'm also a really big fan of the show (and let's just say that the finale is turning out to be really epic)!
As far as I know, it's only going to be a one-cour show with an anime-only ending, which might be a good thing, based on the opinion of the manga readers (the collective opinion seems to be that the manga right now is basically a space harem with a Gauna appearing here and there, which sounds kind of boring from the perspective of someone who hasn't read the manga).

Mind sharing thoughts on Hanamonogatari after you're done watching?

Enjoying Terror in Resonance so far?
Now I really wonder whether Mushishi is better.
P.S. is she going to cosplay as Makoto Nanaya, and vice versa??
