Yea reviews are meant to be subjective, BUT THERE'S A CERTAIN DEGREE OF OBJECTIVITY THAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO MAINTAIN.
Score of 1 for the animation. Maybe you haven't watched enough anime or perhaps you don't understand the scoring system here, but there are far worse examples of animation than Maria Holic. In fact, the animation is fine; you're having problems with the ARTSTYLE. This does not effect how fluid the animation is. A score of 3 or 4 is more justified.
About half of each episode is spent in Kanako's mind
How are you qualified to say that? You've watched TWO EPISODES OUT OF TWELVE. Are you from the future? The show may take a different direction for all you know.
Alot more could have been done with this anime, but it was ruined.
So you mean SHAFT failed to do a good job in adapting the manga? Perhaps they didn't make the show into what you wanted but it is a good adaptation of the source material. SHAFT did not "ruin" the story or comedy.
Also, when you say you can say a lot more about this, you probably actually can't.
You should never watch Shaft animes then; they always do the artsy thing with the backgrounds, camera angles, art styles in all their works. It takes a bit to appreciate, but I think it adds to the storytelling and makes it more unique than the traditional animation of other animes.
What the hell.. why would u review Maria Holic and give it that score, it's still an on-going anime and there's only 1 episode so far out of 12, chillax...you can't judge a book by it's cover.
