I finally decided to create an account here after thinking about it for 5 years. Never had time during college to watch anime or even tv for that matter so after graduating I can now set aside some time to read (manga) and watch anime

My interest in anime began back in 2005 and my interest in manga began a year after that. I was originally mostly interested in supernatural/sci fi and action related anime/manga (which included anything like steins;gate, durarara, bleach, elfen lied or another, even chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai and anything in between, I guess I have my love for Miyazaki, David Lynch and my mid teen's obsession with Naruto and InuYasha to blame for that. The first manga series I read were Akira and Bleach. However everything changed when I first saw Kimi ni Todoke (I still shed a tear whenever I hear the opening theme for the 1st season lol) since then I became open to other genres of anime and manga. I actually went through a period of being obsessed with shoujo/romance and SOL/school manga.I love being able to find different manga and anime through this website.

Oh btw I'm an artist, I majored in visual arts(concentrated in painting and drawings) and live in the NYC area

I saw your signature with Niki from Ever Green - I thought no one actually read that. Guess I was wrong. Then I checked your profile page and saw a large pic from Hibi Chouchou, so I knew I needed to comment.

I went through a similar but somewhat opposite journey. I was introduced to the Love Hina manga (somehow) and so I built on a foundation of shoujo first and spread out from there. Huge fan of Horimiya, Kimi ni Todoke. Just watched Hellsing Ultimate last week. Came across Girl Friends (Milk Morinaga) as my intro to Yuri. If you haven't read/watched Toradora yet, I HIGHLY recommend it.

Regardless, just wanted to stop by and say hi.

Hey, thanks! Glad you like the review. Happiness is such a huge dip in quality for that particular mangaka. His new series is great so far though. Hopefully he sticks the landing this time haha.

Yeah I found the manga first too. True that the show is so far a very good adaptation. Hope it stays that way and hope it keeps lots of emphasis on the play and the mask theme
