I chronically forget to add stuff I that I have watched/read to this. Also, I have barely added a fraction of what I have watched/read prior to making this account. If I rewatch stuff, I'll make a review. If not, I probably won't, which incidentally says as much about whatever show it is as a review would.
As for 'about me' for the purposes of this site, I intend to use this account jointly, as both a personal library for manga/anime I've read, as well as a diary of my impressions on various properties, which I can reference later on if need be. I am not here to pretend objectivity, and anyway I don't think objectivity is possible. If my reviews are helpful or interesting to others, I think that is a good side benefit.
As far as the 10/10 scale, I use the one word definitions for ratings provided by MAL in a pretty straightforward manner. For example, if I choose 5, it's because I think 'Average' applies better than either 'Bad' (4) or 'Fine' (6). It's not complicated and mostly intuitive. Also, if it's something I'm not enjoying, I'm not the type to finish a series (manga or anime), even if I get most of the way through it. If I do drop a series, I likely won't write a review, and my rating won't be higher than 5, since it wasn't enough to keep my interest.
I think that's it for now.
