Juz letting you know here that I finished writing my Charlote review, my friend. :) and well, yeah~~ our viewpoints do differ on this anime but yep, that's pretty much it. ^^
Hm, cool then. :) Guess that's your take and that's entirely alright. Then again, I do plan on reviewing Charlotte, to go hand-in-hand with Gakkougurashi, so I guess you won't mind me reviewing it then.^^
Oh, I didn't mean to put it at that light, sorry. I just thought that if someone watches "a lot, like yours 400+ anime", they could have seen more anime and thus a bit "desensitized" or "have a better eye" on watching and analyzing the Charlotte's story and have some rating that is not 10. Then again, it's your opinion. :)
I've seen your Charlotte review, went on to look at your anime list and is surprised you've got 428 completed anime as of the present...yet you managed to rate Charlotte as 10.
Anyway, you're entitled to your opinion on that though.
(Lol I can't remember the reason she followed him anymore. He inspired her during one of his concerts, yes? And that's the only reason?)
Unfortunately, every single show has clichés up the wazoo. We don't always realize this because a particular cliché or two was done differently (or at least "more fresh") or executed so nicely that we forgive it. The clichés in Shigatsu were rather reminiscent of every other soap opera out there, thus I was able to foresee where the story was going to go while it used a beautiful soundtrack to guide/manipulate our emotions. Far as I care to remember, it didn't do any cliché differently.
It's sad, really. If they had been explored more, maybe I'd have cared more about the love triangle/unrequited love that was going on between them. As it is, I found them to be rather forgettable, I can't tell you for the life of me who they were, and what effect they had on the show.
This would've been more understandable if there was a larger cast, but far as I can tell, there was literally only ten or less characters we kinda had to know. There was plenty of room to give them some individuality and stand on their own without the two main leads.
I agree with you on your Shigatsu review. Although honestly, the main character having a psychological issue with his mother, as frustrating as it got at times, was really the only thing to his character. Once it was resolved, he was boring and I had no idea how it was anyone would be attracted to him. Side characters were also treated badly.
The Slice of Life Club will be hosting a Cute Competition for the next seven weeks. It's pretty much going to be the same thing as our Moe Competition, except for the fact that characters from overly popular series weren't allowed in the contest (since they always win). It's time to give other cute girls a chance to shine. There are four different groups with 32 girls in each group. One girl from each group will go on as a finalist to face off against each other in two championship rounds. Our winner and finalists will get a special card edition in their honor and a spot on the club's layout.

And also having OMK in your favorites, you sir have won this day.
