Haha, looks like our shared birthday has arrived once again. Pretty nice that it's on a Sunday and there's no need to feel guilty spending most of the day lounging around on the phone lol.

I think the first time I saw it was when I was 5 or so. Saw it a couple times after that, but it's been at least 15 years since the last time. I'll have to watch it again soon and see how different it is now that I'm older cause I remember it being pretty graphic lol.

Yeah last summer I definitely watched a ridiculous amount of anime and read quite a bit of manga...but I think those numbers get kind of inflated by the amount of Movies/OVAs and short manga I've read. I'm a big fan of the old 90s OVAs and have seen quite a few of them...though on the other hand I did somehow blast through Legend of the Galactic Heroes in just a few weeks.

I remember sitting and figuring it out once...that according to my 'days watched' stat I have averaged roughly 50 minutes of anime every day for 10 years lol.

The manga is definitely a result of reading short series. I read a decent number of very very long series...which kind or irks me since they seem like they will never end. That's why I like to read some manga that are only a few volumes long here and there cause it's nice to just sit down and read a complete story. Haha looking at my complete list..about 175 or so of my completed manga are only 1 volume long, so ya my manga stat is very misleading.

I can definitely see how chirin no suzu would be rough as a kid, I thought it was pretty harsh and I only saw it in the past year lol. Made me want to watch the movie Watership Down again.

Haha always fun to randomly stumble onto people who share a birthday. Yeah, I guess I've accumulated some big numbers...though mostly it happens in phases where maybe I have a month with little to do and end up binging on anime lol. Though I have been watching for about 10 years now on and off so that probably doesn't hurt.

If you're looking for any anime of a certain type or with a particular theme, then I might be able to point you in the right direction. Our ratings may differ on some things due to different tastes, but pretty much anything 7 or above on my list is worth watching if it caters to your interests.

A lot of the things rated 6 are deceptively good as well...but usually it's just been done better by another show I rated higher lol
