So you're watching Gintama that's great.
Well let me give you an advice.
Just for the information.
The first Episodes and the following first Episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.
But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama.
I think we are getting confused with this topic...maybe I just got a few things mixed up in my mind ;) You are the one who lives in Russia, you will know it better than I do. We have the 25th and 26th of December free from work or school or whatever. Same with the 1st of January and the 6th. In school, you have holiday from 24th until 6th, when you are working it really depends on your job and how you distributed your personal vacation.
Hmmm....I don't care, it sounds like fun anyway! So let's just do it, the more chaos the better :D!! Easy work is for beginners!
I see....to be honest I don't know much about Oomph!, I never was interested in them ^^ Hmmm...some lean more towards the rock/metal direction, others towards electronic stuff. It's mostly between those ranges I guess...what about your friends?
Yeah, I absolutely agree with you on this one! People can get SO annoying, when they know EXACTLY what you should do and so on and so forth. I hate this kind of stuff as well. It's the same with what you mentioned about older times and stuff like this. The whole society changed, so how can you compare only ONE aspect from today (phones) with the, say, 50ies? You would need to compare everything with everything, which would probably take days. So people talking about stuff like that in that fashion should just not be taken seriously. I think we agree on that one ;)
Ah, interesting! You are giving me more and more reasons to watch it...right now I am busy with the Monogatari Series though, and will still be for a while probably :D
Just relating to that video...I think she sounds pretty American while speaking Russian ^^ They just always have this rawr-like r in every word...I don't enjoy it too much to be honest. I prefer British English by far, it's just beautiful - well, at least I think so.
Have you got a lot of snow in the winter? Or why would you say it is not a good idea to go into the woods now? Haha oh how nice of you to care for them ;)!
It's many different things...from cars to travels, from sex to fashion. We cover a lot, since the magazine is released monthly, we are not focused on news, but on editorial stuff :) Some things are humorous, others are about art...it really is spread out wide. Hmm, I would like to write about things that interest me. That is quite a wide field, sports, books, movies, music, travels, sometimes politics. I don't really know yet :)
What about you? Do you have some kind of dream job? And if yes, what would it be?
Thanks for that :)
You are right (as usual) there. There really are many people who "want" to be seen as mentally ill, because they think it makes them special. I find this kind of behaviour rather idiotic to be honest. What do you think?
No, you absolutely don't need to! But if you want to, you can write whenever and as much as you like ^^ I won't feel like you are intrusive or anything. I hope my "business" doesn't annoy you :)
Ah okay, that's interesting to know. At least I find things like that interesting :D I knew about the date-difference-thing, I just wasn't sure about how strictly Russians adhere to this. Would you rather have the calendar that the rest of Europe uses?
I didn't mean to say your tasks would be limited to what I just said, it was just meant to be an example of how we could work out as a couple....of detectives ;P Obviously, if you can see yourself doing stuff like the psychological part, I would be happy :) We need to find our first case though :/ Do you know someone who has been murdered during the last few days? We could take it on, then!
I see...still funny that they are somewhat well known by that clientel in Russia. I think most Germans don't even know them anymore (at least younger ones).
Yeah...music videos are a bit weird - sometimes at least. I like music videos which tell a nice story in the 3 to 4 minutes they last. But if it's just the singer staring out of the window, I can think of other things to do with my time :D The music video to High Hopes by Kodaline is one of those I like. It is a simple story, I know, but the music and the actors fade together nicely in my opinion. I watch it sometimes just because I feel like it.
Yes, I am sure that our lives change us in a way. Although I think a "bad" or "difficult" life doesn't necessarily change the one living it to someone more negative. Everyone deals differently with such matters, some will be dragged down, others will adopt a positive way of living in order to cope. The human being and especially the differences between humans are incredibly fascinating in my opinion. But that is also valid for any other species. Dogs or whatever also have their own unique personality. it is just much harder to understand them without being able to speak about it unfortunately. The topic is practically infinite I guess...I agree with what yióu said though!
I see...people are really different in this aspect. I can see it among my friends, where some have a very fine ear for things like that and others can't differentiate anything ^^ Well, it is quite difficult to discern an accent in a foreign language. Like, obviously you heard that she was faking a Russian accent, but I think you'd have to have lived in America for quite a while before you would be able to tell if she actually is American or whatever.
You should go into the forest then :) I think it would be sad if someone doesn't really know how he or she feels in the forest...it's such a peaceful place. And even if you don't like it, then you know so at least ;) But who am I to tell you what to do? I apologize if it seemed to be like that, I just wanted to speak my mind.
I am working for a magazine right now, so I am experiencing my first steps in journalism. I like it a lot until now, I want to continue on this way for quite a while for sure :D I am open to what I will be doing in 30 years though. We will see...
Alright, then don't tell me ;) But I wouldn't be able to find you anyway without an exact place and time...Vienna is just too big. But at least tell me how you liked it :) I won't answer concerning being a maniac, since both maniacs and "normals" would tell you they are "normal". So there wouldn't be any purpose in that :) You will need to build your own judgement.
I think everything is possible, the constellations between detective and assistant are endless :D It could be one of the variations you mentioned or one of them could be the man or woman for the difficult situations (like fighting and stuff). But if it is as you say and you like to theorize and confuse others with your theories, then it would probably be nice to do it like this: I act like the tough detective who is quite harsh in interrogations and then you start to wildly theorize in front of the culprit and just confuse them. Then we use their confusion and push them into saying contradictive things. And so we can nail them down and uncover the truth!! Or so I wish ;)
Ah I see what you meant to say. Thanks for the clarification, it is very nice and concise as always :D
Oh, interesting...Oomph! is famous in Russia...I learned something new there ;)! Hmm, yeah you are right, taste probably evolves like this... But I find it interesting how taste can also change. Like, one day a few years ago you listened to song xy and didn't like it at all and five years later you suddenly enjoy it. Why is that, what do you think?
No, you chose the perfectly right words, apparently I am just no good at reading :D Sorry ^^ I was quite surprised that you might have heard it, but it is absolutely no shame if you haven't. I would not hear the difference between someone from Moscow or Kazan either. And I am sure about that one!
Oh, why is that? Do you not like being in the forest? I love the sea as well...where would you love to live for example?
Okay...I AM getting quite curious now, because of the last bit about the factory :D I cannot imagine a factory work which is hard to explain (not that factory work is always easy and simple, but...you know what I mean). But of course it is fine like that, so I'll just let my imagination give you a nice mysterious job ;D
Oh!! I probably got that wrong too ^^ Anyway, Berlin is well known in all of Germany and Austria for being a hectic city. It is just so big and there are so many events and happenings and stuff...people always need to go somewhere fast and that is why the city is always hurried and uncomfortable. I love Vienna. And I guess it's not just blind love for my home, because everyone I meet who is not from Vienna, loves it as well :D Visit it! And tell me when you are here :D
Ah I get it now! Well then you are obviously right, in that phase it is absolutely critical to inspire and fascinate your students. I could not agree more. I was very lucky with my elementary school teacher to be honest, which is really nice :)
Yeah, that's what I wanted to say in one sentence, thanks :D You made it into a short statement, I like that.
Ah in my opinion the assistant could also be just as clever or even more clever than the detective, so maybe you would surpass me :) So, if you are not into the deductive stuff, you can do something else, we just split the tasks between us. What would be something you would like to do?
Oh wow, a German singing band :D To be honest I only know Oomph! by name and I only just heard of Spiritual Front. I will give them a listen though! I am quite curious now. I already knew that burger song, but that IS great :D I love songs like this every once in a while too. And I think everyone loves catchy melodies, so I am with you on this one. Your taste is definitely a taste and I can't see any reason why it should be a bad one. It is a taste in music just like mine or anyone else's. I find it to be a very interesting taste, since you seem to have discovered relatively unknown bands (at least in Russia) for yourself. It shows that you like to go beyond what radio serves you, which is very cool.
Stürmer as well :D I don't like her personally, but you are right. It's a perfect example, her German is softer than German singers' German. So your ears work quite well ;) In English, you are required to capitalize every nation or language or stuff like this. It's just a rule, but it would be a mistake in an essay or something like that.
I am glad you enjoyed my description :D Hmm, I just feel like I could show it so much better if I could actually like take you to a café and show you how the waiters are like or on the streets or whatever. My description is alright I guess, but it's always better to show, rather than to tell. At least I think so.
Yeah I do remember French, but I use it far less than English after having left school. So I surely forgot some things, but I can still speak it fluently and so on :)
How can I turn on a cyrillic keyboard on here? Because it feels a bit weird to write Russian with latin letters ^^ I only remember small sentences and single words though, like "My name is Jakob" (which it is by the way, so hi there, I am Jakob :D), "I have a brother", "I speak Russian" (although I really don't). I can remember quite a few single words, but they are really random, like "street" or "meteor". Well, yeah ^^
Hmm, I don't think you would ever really forget your mother tongue. Sure, you could get an accent or something like that or get worse in reading it. Maybe even have to speak more slowly. But I don't think you can forget it, as long as you are sane. If you lose control over your mind or memories or anything like that...I don't know, then you probably could forget it.
Oh nice, I would absolutely love to live near the forest, lucky you :D I would be staring out of the window a lot!
I see...so are you working now or studying? I feel you though, it can also be nice to just have some alone time and be lazy :)
To be honest I am not stressed at all in Vienna. I love it, and out of all the places I have seen so far, it is the only one where I would definitely want to spend my life. It is relaxed and calm in some places and faster and louder in others. It is just the perfect mixture.
I see, that's really thoughtful of you, I appreciate it and can only say that it's the same with me the other way around :)
Yes, obviously telling exactly what happens inside a human being is probably one of the hardest tasks ever. Just like you said; psychologists can get lied to or they may make a mistake because they didn't notice something or don't know their patient very well. And even diagnosing yourself is a pretty hard or sometimes even impossible task, since there are things like a subconscious, which one self might not even be very aware of. So I completely agree with you there. (Once again ;)
I see...well first thing I want to say is: Whatever you want to speak about or whatever your fingers write, I am fine with it. I never feel pressure or anything if someone tells me something like this, I just listen. To be honest I like listening to personal stuff, not because I want to do something with the information, but I just like the feeling of hearing about someone else's life. In my opinion other people's lives are incredibly interesting, because on the one hand, they are just a human life, exactly like mine. But on the other hand, they can be so different in almost every aspect. It's the same with personalities, so I like to hear about people's thoughts. Well, at least people who are interesting themselves, I don't need to know everybody's story on the tramway or the train :D
I guess it's quite natural for personalities and preferences to change throughout adolescence and puberty. I think that even later in our lives, we still change in some ways. And no, I don't think you are crazy ;) About the part concerning teachers and stuff...I kind of agree, but I also think if a teacher really is a bad one and cannot get his point across, the students should still try to understand and to learn about whatever he is talking about. Obviously such a teacher should quit his job in my opinion, but unfortunately they don't. Good teachers are invaluable, but when you get a bad one, you have to make up for it yourself I guess...it is quite unfair, but we already spoke about life's unfairness I remember :) I agree with you though on the part about education in general. It is nonsense to say children don't want to learn or anything like that. Just like you say; sometimes the teachers make the students want to do anything but study, because their courses and ways of teaching are just, well, bullshit.
I am really happy by the way, because you just wrote in the end what came out of your mind. I like it when the person I am speaking to is not trying to change what they are saying, so thank you a lot :)! I know that sentence is kind of clichée, but here it comes: I think everyone has the right to think of himself as special or unique in some way. Obviously, it's not like we are all the same, because there are differences! BUT we are also not something completely different from everyone else. I think the truth lies in the middle. We are all unique as humans, but not in a way that gives us the right to put ourselves above other humans or living beings.
Alright, so YOU are going to be my assistant :D
Yeah, pictures are reworked and stuff...but I like the general landscape :)
The thing about older people and younger ones...it's a very intriguing though! I never saw it this way, but you might be right. People of the same generation just tend to spend time with each other, with exceptions of course!
Let's see...
I don't hate classical music and it doesn't disturb me at all. But it doesn't give me any feeling most of the time. And I basically love any kind of music that makes me feel something. Which genre is it though? Well, most of the bands I love or like are rock, punk or something like that. My absolute favourites are Disco Ensemble from Finland. They are not well known, but for me, they are the best band overall. I really love other bands as well though, such as Die Toten Hosen, Papa Roach, Green Day, 30 Seconds to Mars, Madsen, The Hives, Enter Shikari, Good Charlotte and My Chemical Romance. But it's not only rock...I really like to listen to hip-hop which I enjoy, like Eminem or Alligatoah. But on the other hand I also really like some well known songs like Ed Sheeran stuff or Avicii. Not everything they make, but some tracks :) The list is endless more or less, but those are the most important ones for me. In general, I love music which makes me feel and lyrics which make me think. How about you?
Germans are not known for their niceness in Western Europe to be honest :D
What do you mean with "Why do you think so?" :D?
I lived in Scotland for a semester while studying, people there told me me English was good and the accent not very strong, but they could still hear that I must be somewhere from a German speaking country.
English is my 3rd. French is my 2nd :) I even had Russian in school, but only for three years and the teachers were dreadful (it's not an excuse, noone in our class learned to speak properly) which is a real shame in my opinion! I only know very little now.
Well...I think the hick-like stuff is always told by inhabitants of a big city about smaller cities.
How do you know there are those beautiful places though?
Ah I can understand that...it would bother me quite a lot not to have a cinema in my town. In general, not to have a lot of entertainment. How do you spend your time then?
You never know...there are also bigger cities, which don't feel like that. For example Vienna feels very relaxed, while Berlin is pure stress ^^ That's just the example that comes to my mind :)
Sorry for not answering your message for such a long time, I have been going all week and when I was almost finished messaging you back on Sunday, my computer crashed and everything was gone. I was a bit salty then ^^ Here comes my answer now though :)!!
I didn't mean to say anything about which of us is more or less egotistic, to be honest I didn't even think about that...I just meant that a certain egotism is very healthy and every human should think of himself first in some situations. Which situations those are, is entirely up to the individual and nothing other people should judge in my opinion.
Hmm, you described it differently than my friend always does. Not concerning the facts, but how you talk about it. I guess that's just your talent for writing about things again :)
I like contrasts between two such things as well a lot :D But I also like cynical humor and jokes a giant lot!! For me, cynicism is the way that opens up the possibilities to talk about serious topics with anyone and getting them to think about it. Many people do not want to think or even talk about...I dont know...the fact that none of us knows how our political systems should survive the next 100 years. So many things are crumbling right now, but people like to look away. Since I can't force (and don't want to force) people to discuss this stuff with me, I can at least be cynical about it and they will listen. And maybe some will think about it for a bit a few hours later. It's not like I want to change the world from within or anything. I just want people to look at the problems and try to find solutions.
I have that too, sometimes. I try to watch something and put it aways after three episodes. Then, a year later I try again and love it like mad...humans are weird I guess :D
I see...well, apparently the sun can get quite hot and stingy in Russia too^^ I don't really crave the feeling of unconsciousness though, so I am fine with not knowing to be honest.
Why do you think your feeling of joy or sadness is not interesting? I am still glad you told me about it, you are right, it may not be something special or unique, but it still is you. So it's interesting.
The "daring" part was just a joke ;)
I think you got it perfectly right. I must admit I am a very curious person, so I tried to find out which city you speak about ^^ (sorry if that feels weird for you, I won't do anything with the information though ;)) If I am correct and it really is Shiguljovsk (I don't know how to turn cyrillic alphabet on here), it looks really really beautiful. Everythings green all around and then the Wolga...I really love what I can see on pics :)
I was just interested, because it would have been funny, if you were to live somewhere in the far-east. Because a huge part of the Russian population lives in the west, it would have amused me to speak to one of the few who live in this faraway, ice-cold land. I guess that's just my love for the other. But in the end it doesn't matter to me if you are from Moscow or the middle of Sibiria :)
Well...I am not going to cover it all now, but I will tell you a few things about Austrian culture. With pleasure ;)
Austria is famous for its composers like Mozart and Haydn and all classical forms of art play a big role in the cities here, be it music or writing. Vienna is a theatre-crazy city. People here just love the theatre and the opera and so on. I love the theatre as well, but I am not into classical music at all. What else...well, nearly everyone knows how to ski, it is our national sport and if you don't ski properly, you are somewhat funny ^^ The country is quite rich and safe, so the crime rate is really low, which is obviously incredibly nice for every citizen. I like what Christoph Waltz once said about Austrians: "When you go to Germany, people can sometimes be really rude and don't seem to be nice often. But when you go to Austria, everyone is just the nicest person ever. But they don't mean it." It's not like we are all assholes or anything! Austrians are people who really are very emotional. But if a tourist falls on our nerves, he will feel it in a weird way. Austrians just love to be charming, but when it's enough, we can get quite difficult. But an Austrian doesn't mean everything he says. So if someone here swears at you, he does it partwise, because he likes swearing. We just love complaining and swearing and moaning, but we all know it is not that bad. We just like to let it out ^^ It's hard to describe, it can only be shown to be honest. In Austria, everyone is your best friend if you show humour and that you can argue. Never back down, just answer with a witty insult or anything and the other guy will respect you. Even if he does not want to show it sometimes. Here, nothing is sooooo bad, everything has to be taken with a bit of salt :) I feel like I fail miserably in describing Austrians :D You would need to see for yourself ^^
About your other questions...we don't have that one famous place here. Since all the bigger cities are quite old and have numerous important buildings, that is quite spread out. Our German is far softer than that of Germans, it sounds a lot more comfortable. People from elsewhere also told me so :) Even Germans say so :D
I won't ask you those back ;) Just one thing: Is there anything special in your town? Something that you can get only there or something it is famous for? What does a Russian think of, when I tell him the name of your town (if he knows it)?
Well, the thought about close ones just crossed my mind while I was thinking about what to answer... It's not like I always think of others first, I can be pretty egotistic as well ^^ I find egotism quite natural to be honest, because we were all made so we would always strive to survive. There is absolutely nothing to feel ashamed about in my opinion, so you are right :D
Hmm when you word it like that, I cannot disagree. I too think that even the most complex and absurd idea can already exist in someone else's mind or something like that. So yeah, I also feel like everything is possible, definitely!! It's just I believe that for example the existence of a god is very unprobable, but I do not want to say it is impossible or anything. I can't quite agree with the "shared ideas" thing though, if something like this happens (which is entirely possible) in my opinion it's a coincidence (or whatever you want to call those kinds of unprobable things that happen against all odds). But your way of thinking is very attractive too. It is a beautiful thing to imagine in my eyes. Obviously, we both can be wrong in everything we said in our discussion yet ;) But we are just exchanging thoughts, believes and imaginations, so it doesn't matter :) I am just happy to share and talk about it, I like it a lot!
A friend of mine keeps on telling me to watch it, but I have not yet done so. I will probably do it at some point :) Why is it so good in your opinion?
Hmmm I think an unconscious person's consciousness is still there and still exists, no matter how long that person is in a coma or anything else. It is just sedated and cannot move or act. But coma patients are known to still have brain activity (some at least), so their consciousness still works...maybe they are dreaming or something like that. I don't think fainting and coma are so different in that respect. It's just a different way of reaching this state of a consciousness which cannot work its way to the surface. It probably depends on how bad your condition is, whether you can still feel and hear things. I never fainted though, so I don't know. Why did you faint? I got sedated for operations a few times and that just feels like nothingness. You wake up and can't remember anything. It's like your consciousness is put to sleep. Maybe it is? Maybe it just loses its connection to the rest of myself? I don't know...
Oh I can get quite worked up about small things too, especially when my mood is already bad. But usually that doesn't last too long. Why are you not getting happy about good things though? What do you feel when something good happens to you?
I hope you forgive the daring question, but where in Russia do you live? In the western part where most cities are or somewhere deep in the east like Wladiwostok :D?
It's not like I tried to guess what you would say, but considering there were only two possible answers it is still awesome how much you surprised me with this one...I don't think I have ever heard such an intriguing answer to this question. And you seem to be completely honest, which really sparks my interest ;)
I am quite limited with my time today, so I apologize that my answer may be a bit shorter than what you are used to...I would love to write more, but I will focus on the most important points today :)
Anyway, here we go! I find your thoughts interesting as always ^^ My position towards the whole thing is as follows: I would be satisfied (in a certain way) as long as my art gets some recognition, doesn't matter if that happens after I died or during my life. Obviously, I wouldn't want my family to starve, so if I have people I want to provide for, I would choose becoming famous while I live and be forgotten afterwards. If I was all alone, I would probably rather have my art live on forever rather than living a life of fame and wealth. But anyway, I would always want my art to be recognized my as many people as possible. The reason for that lies of course in a certain vanity; if I create something that I love and find beautiful, I wish for it to become accepted. If it does not, I will still love it, but I would be somewhat sad about my art not blooming. It's not about me as the creator, but the art should live and spread throughout the world. So basically, I don't care if I as a person am famous and rich, it's more about my creation. But obviously I would like to try out the feeling of being famous...must be interesting, but of course it also has many downsides, which you already mentioned. Basically, that's it: I would want my art to get some recognition, doesn't matter if I am alive or dead. But first of all, I want to provide for the people I love and they are more important than my art, so if my art can give them a happy life and then becomes forgotten, I am fine with that.
Well, energy is probably just a different term for the same thing, but I will stick with nature, since it feels closer to my definition :)
I don't believe in parallel universes as such. I find the idea interesting and like stories about it, but I don't think that there is more than one universe. This is of course just my personal guess, so I might be wrong ;) But in my understanding of nature, the planets sort of take the role of parallel universes. This is because I am of the opinion that the planets are all variations of themselves until every possible variation has been tried out. So obviously there could be a version of myself on another planet who looks just like me but has lived a different life. Or someone who has lived the same life but is a girl or anything else... Basically I believe that something similar to parallel universes exists, but in one universe, because I imagine the universe to be infinite, so there would be no room for another one. And yeah, parallel dimensions would be a solution for that, but I don't believe in them and if they really exist, they would be different dimensions. So in fact EVERYTHING there would work differently, be it space or time or life. Because of that I am simply not able to even talk about them, if you know what I mean. But in the end, I also simply don't think they exist.
I fully agree with you about the shades of grey though! (Although there might be even more than 50...wow, what a joke :O) Nothing is black or white, the whole world is grey in that sense. Everything has advantages and disadvantages. I am with you there :)
Ah, you got me there :) I have never thought about my consciousness that way... Yeah... I don't even remember things from when I was 6 months old, so I know nothing about where my consciousness comes from. Maybe it will just fade away just the way it faded into life when I was born. I simply cannot imagine how that will feel like. But of course that does not mean that it is not possible...I don't know and because of that I am very curious about it. Oh and by the way...I think nature calculated exactly how soon a human should die so it does not overpopulate the earth, but with medicamentation and such we sort of "tricked" nature and this is why our planet suffers now.
Ah I often am very very happy about very small things :D I just enjoy every little positive event in life to the fullest, it makes living so much nicer ;)
I am not upset at all, you had plenty to say. Just in your own way, which is the best way possible :)
Yeah it really is an irony...especially compared with those who were incredibly rich thanks to their art and nowadays noone even knows their names. If you were an artist, which of the two possibilities would you choose?
Your opinion is very interesting and, as you already said, it has many layers and some are somewhat in conflict with each other...but that is what makes it really intriguing to think about :) I enjoyed it once again and I must say that on the one hand I can absolutely understand your thoughts and I think they show that you are a person who likes to think and is very good at it too. Being good at thinking might sound weird...but I am of the opinion that some people have very beautiful ways of thinking...it just feels nice to follow them and listen. They have that sort of aura about them and you do too.
My opinion on fate is abit different from yours I guess. I agree in that we all are capable of doing what we want and decide however we like. And of course sometimes spontanteous decisions bring a good ending, sometimes a bad. Same with hesitant decisions. The point where I feel differently is the following:
I don't believe in a god or any superior being of that kind. I know you don't necessarily believe in god, but you say you think there is something "above" us. I would rather count myself as an Atheist, because I don't think there is something like that. In my eyes, nature is the one thing that contains everything. BUT nature is not the highest thing in the hierarchy...it is the result and the totality of everything. Nature in my opinion is everything. The universe is supposedly infinite. And in this infinity we certainly know that there is at least ONE planet, where everything has fallen into place perfectly, so that life could arise. And the ecosystem earth is perfect, or rather it has been. Because everything functioned ideally on this planet, until humans developed "too" far. Now we destroy the planet and eradicate many species and so on and so forth. I believe that there is a planet somewhere in the universe, where no species has developed too far and because of that everything works perfectly until it all ends. But there are also countless different planets, some without life, some with life that died ages ago and some where things went very similar to earth, but not completely the same. I think that in the universe you will find every possible scenario, but nothing twice. This is because it is (practically) infinite and every single combination of variables has been tested out, so that every different outcome has resulted from it once. So when I speak of nature, I don't mean trees and animals and stuff. I mean literally everything and the possibility of existing. Without nature, there would be nothing in my opinion. And nature is an incredibly complex combination of variables, so in a way, it would be possible to calculate everything. But not for us, because we are not intelligent enough and we don't know everything, which would be necessary to do that. Nature is theoretically explainable, but I don't think any living species can ever do it. But that's not bad, because noone needs to know it.
So yeah, everything we do, influences everything else in the equation which is nature. But how that equation exactly works, cannot be said, since there is an infinite number of unknown variables which also change every split-second. So of course, life cannot be just and will always be felt as unfair by us. It adheres to simple influences, which then influence something else. So basically, it could happen that an artists work will never become famous, just because someone 38729 kilometers away bought a fried chicken three weeks ago. This is of course an extreme and noone can ever tell where a chain of influences started, because everything is always influenced by its environment.
That's my take on the topic...I hope I could explain it properly. If not, just tell me :) Thank you for listening though ;)
I agree, fate is not just an empty word. It is a way to describe nature, the way I see it. And I do not say that I am correct with what I say, it is just what I believe to be right. But I accept all other opinions and would never say a person who believes in god or anything else is wrong! I just cannot agree, that's all :)
About reincarnation and afterlife-stuff like that...I really don't know what to believe. On the one hand I don't believe in a heaven or other religious positions. BUT I simply cannot imagine my consciousness to just...disappear after I die. But what could happeb within the boundaries of nature? I have no clue...but I am certainly very interested to learn about it, the day I die. But I enjoy life and want to live a long way ;)
Never mind those small confusions, your message is very clear, no problem at understanding at all! :)
And thank you very much for the request, I really was happy when it popped up :D
What do you think of my thoughts though?
You are right of course...in life seconds can decide if something you do becomes a worldwide phenomenon or a story that noone wants to read. And of course that is also true for life in school and so on...just like you said. Education is a very difficult topic, especially what you mentioned. People are different and teachers should have the freedom to interact with every child in the best individual way possible. But often the educational system is already the problem. I think Finland and Scandinavia have very good education, because they try to be very careful about every single child. But a truly perfect education is probably impossible to set up for millions of children at the same time...which is a shame.
The thing about stories is, they have to be published at the right time too. You probably know how many authors from a few hundred years back only became popular during the 20th century or something like that? Back when they were alive, noone cared about their stories, but nowadays they are seen as the greatest artists ever. Their work just didn't fit into their time. And I am sure in 300 years authors from today will be famous who are not seen as "important" at all today.
By the way...while we are talking about the right place and time: Do you believe in coincidence or fate? Or something else? So basically...if we think of your example with the author, who comes to publish his story to late/soon - do you think it had to happen like that or was it just a big coincidence, which changed his life?
I guess we all have advices that we don't follow ourselves. I try to act the way I described to you, but sometimes I probably don't. But that is only natural, because humans are inconsistent and imperfect beings. And I like it that way, this is part of our individuality and makes us human. We are not machines or computers. That sounds like it's from a clicheey Hollywood movie I guess....sorry for that ^^ But I still think it's true.
The thing is...we often think that certain things are clichee and movie-like. But it's not like that. Movies take inspiration from life. So when we take something from movies, we basically take something from life, but only with a detour. (Still: some things are certainly movie-only and brutally clichee :D)
I think it's natural that we orientate ourselves with the help of "have I liked this artist's previous work or not?". There is too much art to consume in even a lifetime, so we need to choose. And this helps, even though it may be wrong sometimes.
I will wait for it, I am sure it will be beautiful as always :)
Hahaha yeah, I am just like an anime girl in every way ;P I like the picture in my head right now :D
What you say is correct and logical in itself. I don't know if I have the same opinion all the way, but I can definitely follow you. Obviously "deep" is a difficult expression and would need to be clarified before talking about it. I just meant the typical "deep" people use to hype mediocre shows. But I think there is a "deep" behind that, which is a very beautiful and breathtaking concept. Very very few pieces of art are that kind of deep for me, personally. But everyone has his own taste of course, and that is good just the way it is.
What is art? Yeah, probably an impossible question, but I would agree with you. Just because a show is simple and plain, does not mean it's not art. Simplicity is not bad, it's just a characteristic trait. But not worse than deep per se. I fully agree with you there!
To be honest I think it's a matter of preference if you "judge" a work of art with the artist in mind or without thinking about his intentions. What you said is a valid point, but for example a show that I find boring does not become entertaining all of a sudden for me, just because I learned that the author meant this or that or wrote it because of this or that. I might understand more and that can be very important! But it does not ALWAYS change the way I see the work. So yes, I agree again. A show has to be good by itself, not only after you know several other things about it! That is a very important factor.
Yeah, seeing people's emotions is what will always make speaking superior to messaging for me. On the other hand it is very nice and in a certain way beautiful to get to know your thoughts and feelings without knowing your face or anything else. It certainly changes the way I listen to you, brings the words alone closer to myself. But on the other hand, there is always an empty space where the person should be with whom I am talking right now. In the end, I prefer speaking. But writing has its beauties too.
I love watching series and movies of all kinds, reading books, football and having fun with friends...pretty average I guess ^^ But I love it nonetheless!
Your answer is quite accurate, I can absolutely see where you're coming from now :) And I guess I agree with you, I don't like artificially added depth too. But some shows really are deep and twisted and those are often my favourite gems. But they are not better than a slice of life comedy by default. For example Binbougami Ga is one of my favourite anime overall and is not deep at all. Just plain funny.
So in fact...I really agree with you :D
I understand what you mean, but I also like the spontaneousness of talking and expressing myself sort of on the go, if you will :) Everything has its benefits...
