your terra e review sucks. For example you criticizes that the school environment is "normal", but if you went to such a school as portrayed by this Anime I pity you. First of all there are no cameras at schools and a secret police doesn't knock at your door when you talk about your dreams --> not normal in a democracy (still i don't know where you grew up). Furthermore during the Nazi regime all seemed normal as long as you behaved in a certain way, so it is not far from reality.
The psychological strain on people is mentioned quite often. Also, revolts and rebellions are mentioned quite often, but the anime fails to provide the viewer with information on that because it would go beyond the scope of a 24 episode anime. The characters were better than in most anime, but yet again maybe you like 2d cliche characters (like in ouran host club ). All in all you are entitled to your opinion, but your opinion sucks.
Just finished Terra e... and I have to say I agree with your review the most. I didn't really hate it and thought the last arc was somewhat decent but the characters were horrifically unsympathetic and I was pretty glad to see some of them die. :o
And yea, the whole thing felt pretty nihilistic and wasted the potential of its premise. A tragedy, really.
I want to take a minute and say, thank you. Thank you for writing the only negative review for Terra e.. It is literally the only review under an 8, and the only review actually appropriate for the show.
I wanted to show some compassion to the show because I thought I may have been too cynical in my outlook of the show. As a result, I turned to the reviews to see if anyone agreed. Most nobody did not and I still felt uneasy, unable to fully articulate what I disliked.
Then I read your review, and it expressed my concerns perfectly. So thank you for being the only person to analyze a show correctly.
Sorry for this late reply, I've been busy with the old GBA. :D Forgive my ignorance, but I have no clue what Plants versus Zombies is, other than what Mr. Wikipedia says. Ah, but I see that it's a tower defense game. I never got the hang of those games, mainly because I don't experience any fun waiting for my enemies to approach me; I rather attack head-on. :D
At least the Twilight hype is dying down, yes? Cheers to that! (Or so I hope)
