Love the profile art. Interesting take on marriage.

Anyway, your Shinryaku! Ika Musume review seems to be getting very little attention! Only 1 out of 1 Helpful? Goodness. Well, I thought it was somewhat enjoyable. Not Helpful enjoyable, but I'm cynical. There were a few things about your review I found, er, strange.

"Borrowing from the popular Nickelodeon cartoon, Invader Zim. . ."

- PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT! EHHH?! W-What is- Huh?! Are you implying that this show was inspired by Invader Zim?! Was it really?! Where's your proof?! I need links! I need sources! Someone, get me a doctor! I can't stop my exaggeration!

But seriously, that sentence eerily suggests that you know that the plot from this anime "borrows" from Invader Zim, when it could be (probably is... almost definitely is) a coincidence. To better phrase this sentence, you could say "with a plot that's SIMILAR to the popular Nickelodeon cartoon, Invader Zim." Otherwise, I'd void that out under unintentionally false pretenses.

This was also interesting:

"Sanae Nagatsuki fills the disturbing comedy void that this anime shamelessly exposes, which is one reason why Shinryaku! Ika Musume is NOT an anime for kids. At first, Sanae is a friend and classmate of Eiko who has a mutual relationship with her pet dog. Until Sanae is introduced to Ika Musume, the girl turns into a creepy stalker and a obsessed pursuer for Squid Girl's love, and don't ask me if she's into yuri or has a plain rapist mentality. Sanae engrosses the viewers using dark comedy with her "M" personality."

- Y'know, I always thought that PG-13 rating for the show was really pushing it. I'm not saying that your claim of Sanae's behavior being the basis of the show's rating is wrong, but I never once thought of Sanae's behavior as anything other than an adorable obsession. (Did I mention I've seen the show?) But that's why I find this particular section of your review interesting. I never really took into consideration what could have made the show PG-13, as nothing really comes to mind. I know there's a joke about a little girl's desire for larger breasts in the second season, but that's really all I can recall. Maybe it's the premonition of Ika's desire to enslave the human race, despite how innocently it's portrayed? Gee, you really like to get me thinking, don't you?

Regardless, it was an innocent review. I felt your previous reviews were stronger, but not by much. That one line about Invader Zim killed it for me. If not for that, I'd probably give you a Helpful. By the way, your profile picture is cute... does that make me a lolicon?

Merry Christmas my Loli-loving reviewer!

May you write better and better reviews in the future!

I don't believe you. No one likes Louise.

Shakugan no Shana? Mmm.

I want to be evergreen, by the way.

Now, your review was splendid. I gave it a Helpful, even. There are just a couple things of concern I had with your review, which is why I went through that whole "I WANNA REVIEW YOUR REVIEW" format.

1. Minimal gushing in your Overall section. I wanna see a second season? I wanna see if it can surpass the first? Smells like overexaggerative bias to me. I'm only half-joking, of course, but it does raise some eyebrows to start off an Overall section like that. It looks to me like you were trying to hold in your praise with a calm demeanor, and then as soon as the Overall section came into play, you let out all of those bombastic emotions and put them into writing. Some may see this as, and I may be exaggerating here, a trap. Y'know, kind of like Hideyoshi from Baka-Test. The impression that you conveyed throughout most of your review could come across as well-mannered to anyone who reads it, but then those two simple sentences could throw a reader off with their initial impressions and cause them to feel betrayed by your sudden fanboyism. Again, this is the worst possible scenario, but one must be prepared for anything, right?

B. I didn't like the whole "This is a true slice of life anime." Do you want to cause an uproar? Do you want to cause the biggest media debate in Japanese anime history? I wouldn't be spouting such controversial things like that in your review. Sure, Sakurasou may have elements of a true life situation, but think about how it was set up. It stars a normal guy who ends up in a house for crazy people. Then he meets someone who can't function, who also just so happens to be an artistic genius. Then his normal friend also stays with him because lol. Then all of the said "crazy people" start acting not crazy. That doesn't seem very realistic to me, seeing as this is all set up for the initial boost in drama that the second half likes to execute. Yeah, drama's a part of real life, but is the slice of life genre really trying to convey itself as 100% true to life? These are the questions that arise when you try and force a matter of opinion concerning something that is universally accepted as one thing and you say it's another. I would void that out, as it turns the attention away from the review and more towards your opinion of what true anime is. I can appreciate the enthusiasm, though.

Those things are what concerned me with your review. Looking back on my comment, I actually said about twice as much as I had initially anticipated. I guess radical opinions bring out the best in me, as they do you, eh? Regardless, I gave it a helpful; it was fun to read. You should set up a blog with that whole "Sakurasou is a true slice of life, bitznitches," thing. I'd read it. I'd follow it. I'd like to know your full opinion on it. But that's for another time.

So I just read your review on ZnT, and damn, do I agree with it.

As with you, I was also somehow "charmed" by the story and the general premises of the anime at the first season, when everything seemed fresh and cool and all that. However, as you mentioned, along the way it just became something along the lines of a stringed-up bunch of episode which is both bland and completely uninspired. Seriously, if I wasn't such a masochistic person who wants to finish every anime I've started, I might have never finished this anime.

So pretty much, you've nailed the entire point of the anime in your review, and for a relatively new reviewer, that's quite something. Oh and that line at the end? It pretty much guaranteed a "Helpful" from me =)

P.S : Kapodaco has not changed one bit XD

Alright, like your feelings toward Gosick, it was hard to analyze your review of it. And might I add, I was hesitant on what to give Gosick as a score as well, seeing as I had loved it initially; but as of now, I barely give it a mere thought when considering my favorite titles.

I remember reading your review for the first time yesterday and having a lot to say about it. Re-reading it moments ago has left me at a loss. What was I so keen on that I didn't give your review a Helpful? I don't recall. But in this current mindset, I still do have certain issues with the review.

I'll start with the most blatant one. This:

"(Hello, I am trillshit. And I, am a lolicon)"

Minds of readers: Oh, he's a lolicon. Let's use deductive reasoning...

Trillshit is a lolicon.
Gosick has a loli for a main character.
Trillshit gave the anime a ten.
Biased

Now, of course, not everyone will think this, but you can't help but not think of it in the realm of possibility. This was just something that had tipped me off as I was reading it, and something that I feared would throw off not just people's trust in your words, but their overall opinion of you as a person. That statement is just something I feel is certainly not needed. It gives the impression that you had boosted your score for your own... preferences.

Oh. Aha! You threw in a Naruto Shippuden joke in there... What if someone doesn't know what Naruto is? But at this point, really, who doesn't? Still, you can't say with certainty that everybody on the planet has heard of Naruto. This is nitpicking, but I would take that joke out of there simply because 1. It implies that Naruto is generic (which is debatable), and 2. Not everyone will get it.

The sense of "gushing" can be argued in this case as well. By this, I mean your overly positive language present in the review might also lead some people to believe that you're biased, as I don't recall you criticizing much. Of course, this is also a debatable topic seeing as you gave it a ten and you have the evidence to support your decision. There are simply times where you sounded somewhat unprofessional.

For a first review, it was phenomenal. Truly, I was impressed, as were ten other people. Just work on giving an even-natured tone while reviewing something that is overwhelmingly good or bad. You don't want to sound as though you're taking sides... even though that's technically what you're doing. Poker face. But keep writing! I can see the potential in you as a superior reviewer on this site. Just keep working at it.

At the time of posting this comment, I also took the liberty to read your Sword Art Online review. If you would like, I can post my comments on that review, as well.
