The protagonist shows no initiative in being anything other than a soulless instrument the audience can use to peek into the show's universe. The males lead the conversation, the flow of the story.

Hey, I read your review on Sukitte Ii na yo. Although you didn't actually rate much about it, just gave a general idea about it, I still enjoyed it because I do agree it is a very light, touching, and VERY enjoyable anime! The one thing I can say that makes this different than most of the romance/shoujos are the characters' relationship and how they grow. I feel that after every mistake they make that causes them to separate, they fix it so well that it makes their relationship stronger and not just "patch" up the problem.
