My personal ranking system:

10 (Masterpiece)- Favorite show. An excellent work that left a big impact on me and that I thoroughly enjoyed the entire time. Little to no flaws.

9 (Great)- Favorite show. An excellent work that I thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to watching.

8 (Very Good)- A very good show that I enjoyed and looked forward to watching. A show that I would definitely recommend.

7 (Good)- A good show that I liked and looked forward to watching. I would probably recommend it.

6 (Fine)- My baseline for something I like. May have unique concepts that fall apart or are left unexplained, have too much filler, some prominent issue, etc. I have a positive impression of the show instead of a neutral impression. I may or may not recommend it.

5 (Average)- "Eh." A show that feels mediocre and/or has many flaws. May have good moments, but I feel pretty neutral about it overall. An anime that I would likely not recommend to others.

4 (Bad)- A show that has major flaws and/or average to poor enjoyment. Could also be a 5 that is more boring. There is a distinct negative impression of the show. I would not recommend it to others.

3 (Very Bad)- Distinct from other categories and reserved for shows where "it's so bad it's good." Show has severe flaws, but those flaws made it unintentionally enjoyable.

2 (Horrible)- A show with severe flaws that I did not enjoy at all. Would not recommend.

1 (Appalling)- A show with severe flaws. I really hated it. Would not recommend.
