I watched the first ep of Ookami Kakushi..which didn't exactly appeal to me. And I also finished Umineko which it seems you liked :P...congrats. I'm not really in the mood to watch something new after the recent crapfests I've sat through. Although one show I liked which I watched recently is Kampfer. Ironically a lot of people hate it and think it's stupid (which it is...but in a good way). I also watched Death Note which I know you like a lot. I guess I'm influenced slightly by how overhyped it is because I wasn't too impressed overall. The ending left me feeling like I wasted so much of my time.
You need to finish Ebichu sometime this century. :l
Anyway, what's been keeping you so busy? School and work?...I have to look for a job since I'm planning on a summer vacation by myself for once. I was seriously considering Iran for a bit but I may settle on the relatively safer Spain instead :P...
I hate to say it but I really haven't seen a lot of great anime. I'm a little sad that you don't seem to be enjoying Ebichu that much though :(...It's such a short series too.
Um...you could give Kemonozume a try. I just watched it recently and gave it a 10/10. I think you will be surprised by it and it's very unique and interesting. Or you could watch Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann if you don't mind mecha. It's probably the most enjoyable mecha show I've seen so far. Although that's episodes 1-16. At the moment, I'm very disappointed in it. But it's worth watching for the earlier eps alone. And since you like Death Note I keep hearing that Code Geass is recommended for people who liked it. Although a friend of mine who liked Death Note didn't like Code Geass...And a show that I think is probably great but I haven't seen yet - Baccano. You could try that :P
Damn..I looked at my list and could barely find anything worth recommending to you(that I think you'd like).
Well it all makes sense when it's put that way, and if so, there's something to look forward to. However, the fact that the majority of people who really like Umineko have played the VN beforehand means that the anime does a poor job of explaining things. The fans that really believe it is a human culprit have either played the VN or are just jumping to conclusions because they are expecting a mystery twist, and actually have no basis for believing it. I say this because there is nothing in the anime that would lead you to believe a human could really do it. If it's really supposed to be a mystery, then why is it that they are constantly hammering into our heads proof that it MUST be magic? They never give us even the slightest hint that they are in a setting outside the real world nor the possibility that it can be proven magic was not used. It doesn't really matter what they show Battler, because whether or not it was what they intended, all they have shown us is that there is no way the murders could be done by human means. Thus, the viewers who haven't played the VN just believe Battler is ignorant, and that the anime is showing us over and over again that it must be magic. I haven't played the VN, so I never new of any "afterlife" or "Meta World" setting until you told me. Since most of the viewers are left in the blue, it's only natural we'd assume it's a pointless battle between Battler and Beatrice and the whole theme of the anime is magic.
A mystery makes you think. All we know is that magic was used, yet Battler does not know(or at least does not believe it). How is it supposed to be exciting or make you think, when they already give us the what we believe to be the truth? After all, this entire time they have been telling us, "HEY, LOOK AT THIS, IT HAS TO BE MAGIC, RIGHT?". If they are going to turn around say "Magic didn't happen, we got you good, didn't we?", it's not going to be impressive because it's obvious that they were trying to make us think it must clearly be nothing but magic.
You've barely watched any anime in the first place. I just got into anime this year and look at how much I've watched :D Although i've slowed down lately...
I don't intend to drop it, but I doubt unless a miracle happens I think anything better of this anime. Unless they all die and stay dead. Unfortunately, I have a nasty feeling they're all going to have a Scooby Doo ending.
In any case, this anime just loses a points because of Battler. He is the worst lead character I've seen this year.
Thanks for all of that, I guess, but I am not ever going to play that novel. I am sure it's all well and good but do not use the VN as means to come up with an excuse for what is a pretty messy anime. I never pay attention to source material. I watch an anime for what it is and how it stands on its own.
So even if there's tons of explanations for this and that, the point is, it makes no damn sense in the anime.
No. It was an attempt at horror that failed miserably. But yes, it's a mystery too I guess. A mystery that there are people who love it -_-...I gave it a generous rating since I didn't enjoy it in any way. And I couldn't care less about who the killer was when everything else about the show was so half baked. It's a fan servicey pile of shit.
Screw you for not wishing me a happy birthday yesterday -_- But I'll accept it I guess.
A better question would be what wasn't wrong with it :P. I basically hated everything. The characters were somehow made even more one-dimensional than the ones in Higurashi. The insane laugh thing didn't work here since the atmosphere isn't even creepy. It's hard to take a horror anime seriously when the characters all look so baby-faced too.
Even the opening and ending songs are too good for it. Plus the plot is stupid and uninteresting. And to top it all off it's censored & Beatrice has the most annoying voice I've ever heard.
I can't believe I survived through 9 episodes. Ugh.

I'm only a feces, so why should I troll anyone?

What video games are you playing?
It's an awesome site. :P
