I'm specifically referring to the 1st season here. How anyone thought making following seasons without best villain Makishima and best boy Kougami is beyond me...
The whole concept of blindly living in a world, controlled by a computer deciding everything for you, is very intriguing indeed. So intriguing, in fact, that I've written an entire thesis on the topic :)
Yet another two shows that changed my life, both equally unique and both produced by the genius Shinichiro Watanabe! For me they aren't just anime, they are pure art. Oh and their soundtracks share the no 1 spot for the best of all time, in my book ^^
Well, well, if it isn't Cowboy freaking Bebop; the timeless anime classic that left an inspiring legacy in so many ways. Prasied by many, including myself, as a great introduction to anime, but for the thinking watcher you won't be disappointed either. With so many themes, characters and locations throughout the show, every episode is an experience, a story in its own universe. I highly recommend Wisecrack's video on some of the themes in Bebop. And the soundtrack, my god these jazzy tunes certainly sets the mood for some bounty hunting!!
I'm not usually into historical samurai stuff, but this, oh boy, this is something else. This is a celebration of everything old and new, a mixture of different ideas and innovation ('chanpurū' = 'something mixed), sprinkled with great humour, fighting scenes, and a god tier soundtrack!
Don't be fooled by the show's appearance. It's more mature than you would ever expect, and I love it because of that! And every frame in this show is a damn masterpiece!
Ah, I can never get enough of my favorite trio: Riko, Reg and Nanachi <3
Do you know what would happen if you combine excellent time-travelling concepts from Steins:Gate, gripping thriller and drama from Death Parade, human emotions, experiences and regrets from Violet Evergarden, perfect direction like A Silent Voice, and top it all off with breathtaking visuals like the great Makoto Shinkai? You get the most underrated show in existence: Link Click, or Shiguang Dailiren (roughly translated to 'Agents of Time').
There were some obstacles for me to begin watching this show. It was my first Chinese animation (=donghua), and it looks suspiciously like BL (which btw it isn't). Maybe you, who are reading this, feel the same way. But I recommend everyone to try one episode, to get a feeling for what this show is about. At its core, it tells a very gripping story about human relationships, about the ones we love, about our families and the ones we hold dear. It will almost certainly make you cry and appreciate your family and friends a bit more.
I went into this show knowing literally nothing about it, and boy I was blown away on every possible level. All the serious themes about loneliness, social anxiety, depression, suicide and other's expectations of you, hit way too close to home many times. This is perfectly balanced with dark humor, that makes you laugh uncomfortably because of how relatable it is.
If you want to watch something meaningful, that's both mature, fun and sad as f*ck, then I cannot recommend this one enough.
Question:
Why can one keep living as a hikikomori?
Answer:
Because one’s food, clothing and shelter are assured. It’s because one is permitted a lukewarm bare minimum of a life that one can keep living as a hikikomori indefinitely. Being able to live as a hikikomori was in itself very much a luxury. Without the assurance of food, clothing and shelter, unless you’re prepared to die, there’s no other way but to work.

Another major part of me is my passion for music. I mostly listen to electronic music, in a bunch of different genres: EDM Funky & groovy Progressive house Future bass Kawaii / anime Lo-Fi hip hop
As long as it's melodic and dance-able I'll love it.
Well then, shall we get started?
Welcome to this tour with some of my favorite songs and albums. Each track has two related songs, that you can reach by through the back/forward buttons. Feel free to browse around and ask for recommendations. I know a ton of other songs in every category.
Hope you enjoy~
I just completed Death Billiards and I felt even more confused lol. Guess the anime proved again that one shouldn't judge others. But seriously, I didn't really think that grandpa was this bad. He wasn't a good person but he definitely wasn't worse than the man. So why do you think he went to the void? I thought he might've told Decim to send him to the void instead of the man. But then why did he smile like this in the end? It was definitely creepy. Or could he've confessed that he's committed some kind of sin? What do you think? (sorry if I've made grammar mistakes -_- )
I don't know what to say. I'm super confused. it's not like she hated it, she even got interested in the story, sort of, but then was like ,,I would watch it only as a live action". Pretty stupid, I know. She cringed in the intro when we saw (you remember the girl obsessed with that one idol) her skirt covering the screen and then Ginki tearing his shirt apart (impressive. It's not like there are a lot more strange things in american films) And also whenever someone was blushing, sighing, being surprised or almost anything.
The reason is that ,,it's an anime" (brilliant). I don't know why but she hates animated things in general. She doesn't even like cartoons cause they are ,,childish'' -_- The weird part is that she thinks that anime is both for kids and hentai in the same time (she has a talent) and most people think this way too. T_T
I didn't want to be too annoying and so we watched only 3 episodes.
Oh, good luck! I hope it works out well for you and that she likes it. Is there a reason why she doesn't like anime? I mean, she is missing out on so many good shows (T*T)
Today I'm gonna show an anime hating friend of mine Death Parade. Wish me luck! I hope that she likes it and becomes an otaku cause I don't have irl otaku friends -_-
The last anime I finished was Kakegurui. People say it's similar to Death Parade but to me it was way more boring than it. Kakegurui is a gambling anime with crazy characters. You can give it a try but if you don't like the first 4 or 5 episodes I don't recommend you continuing. If you read manga I'd recommend Oyasumi Punpun. <WARNING> It was far more depressing than Death Parade. But it was very meaningful and beautiful. I think you'll like this one more. It can teach you a lot of things. Some chapters were WEIRD tho and might disturb you. In my case I simply skipped them and enjoy the overall story.
Hello!
About Welcome to NHK , I love the anime a lot, a lot more than I expected to. I see it as my favourite one already to be honest.. I totally agree with you, show is heavily underrated. No animes that I've watched so far could portray human insecurities this good. Every episode is really touching and even though I am not hikikomori or person that is fully introverted, I still could relate to it because despite me being open to people I am really insecure deep down like Satoru and I care too much what people think of me.
Sometimes I had thoughts of just diappearing so this anime is really relatable to me.
What are your thoughts on it?
Once I heard the intro in the last episode I couldn't stop crying. And IF only there were a manga.....it would be so much better. It had a lot of material for another season but it could go downhill. My feelings about a second season are kinda mixed.
Yes I watched all the FMAB and FMA eps, but I can't really choose one...I liked them both a lot! T^T
FMA is more description while FMAB is more action. And there's also the fact that their endings are really different.
Guess I'm going with FMA, but that's my opinion tho.
Anyway, when you're going to finish one of those just tell me your thoughts about it. :)
Yes definitely! At least from what I watched.
Great! I like those too...any recommandation?
Yes!! Ofc I watched them, they're on my fav list too haha.
I like sci-fi, drama, mistery, comedy (and romantic comedies), shounen, somehow horror (only if the story is good) and maybe police/military (but I didn't watch that much animes of that genre tho). :)
Well, I watched FMA and its movie. Tbh, they were better than expected...you know, everyone says that FMAB is better because it's more accurate to the manga story. But I liked them a lot! :D
I'm not sure if you watched FMAB or FMA tho. ^^"
Oh yeah, I also finished Danganronpa (the first season) which was great as well. :)
Did you watched something good that I might check out later?
And what genres do you like most? :)
And now The Evil Within 2 is out. Waaaaaaaaaaah. I need moneyyyyyy! Damnit.
You should know the amount of times I had to stop playing RE7 because yeah it was so scary. ;-; Especially Marguerite's monster form. Waaaah. Sleepless nights. ;-;
I'm so ready for TLOU 2. Kyaaa. Can't wait. ,3
Oh NieR:Automata is the game I've been seeing everywhere which got a character that looks like Jack Skellington. Haha.

You're welcome^^
Your profile pic just reminded me of the final episode.....the feels....it was so sad and so meaningful.
