My ratings are my personal opinions. They can be sometimes biased because I really (dis)liked something in an anime. An incomplete end would make me lower the score for example :Þ
I take into account the five key points ( the story, animation, sound, character, enjoyment ) differently for each genre. Enjoyment is much more important than the story in a comedy ( even though it's better to have a good story ;) )
Furthermore, if there are many animes of the same genre, I tend to compare them to rate them.
10/10 = A masterpiece, equals to a 9 but with something that made it stand out.
9/10 = A great anime, but lacks a few thing to become a real masterpiece, or isn't finished yet. Can also be an 8/10 anime with something that I really liked or that surprised me...
8/10 = An anime I really appreciated but can be better, or lacks some story ( most good comedies go here )
7/10 = A good anime, but there is better. e.g. Those which bored me because they were too long.
It's best to avoid watching under 7.
6/10 = Well animated, but really lacks story and enjoyment.
5/10 = Really boring...
4/10 = Fairly better than below, worse than above.
3/10 = It can be a good challenge to put a bet on whether you can watch it entirely or not...
2/10 = Animes that don't even make sense anymore. Enjoy your perpetual WTF.
