lmfao did you even watch Seirei no Moribito?
"This anime disappointed me as I was expecting a show with a little more depth that what was delivered. The major flaws of this anime are the characters and their lack of progression. The main character is a woman whom serves no purpose other than to be a bodyguard for a prince and the prince as young as he is, never matures despite all the hardships they are forced up against." (btw, you used whom wrong, nice crappy attempt at looking smart)
Matures? Yes he does. He hardens up, wants to learn how to defend himself, asks for background information and isn't as afraid of everything anymore. As for the 'woman whom serves no purpose other than to be a bodyguard for a prince', she plays a huge part in the story. None of that would have happened and their world would be in a drought if she hadn't been there, not to mention she gave emotional support to 'the prince'.
"What they use is readings from an ancient scroll text that someone magically is able to translate just enough to advance the plot." Magically? -_-
I'm tired of reading your crappy, ignorant review anymore. Go take a 'life skills' and 'personal development' class, I think you need it.
Did you even watch Seirei no Moribito? I'm all for bad reviews if someone does't enjoy a series, because that really IS their opinion. But in this case, I am confused as to why you think there is not character development, because, personally, one of my favourite aspects of of the anime is that I thought there was a great deal of it. It wasn't your typical history0fic where a manly warrior saves a stubborn, bitchy snob (girl) and little happens and the other side characters aren't really there for anything and you never get to know them.
Take the character of the prince, for example. I thought he was one of the most well developed characters in the show because (SPOILERS!)
he begins working in a trade and learns to work with people and this influences his interests in change and the needs of others. How is that not the evolution/maturity of a character?
