I list my favorite episodes to show peaks of a series in my opinion. Rating a series is very difficult because it requires trying to visualize hours of anime into a number. A powerful scene from a series will remind me to rate it high. A consistent series with a whole solid showing without a peak will also have me rate it decently. It helps me rate the whole series and also helps me share with you a smaller taste of awesomeness in each series.
My Favorite Episodes:
Bold episodes are the ones I re-watch over and over.
Aria The Origination [Episode 9] (The payoff is better than any drug because the character development is masterful. At this point you are rooting for her. You feel so happy about everything that happens to her. This episode ends with the definition of happiness on screen.)
Nodame Cantabile Finale [Episode 11] (Wow the emotional power in that scene because of multiple seasons of character development)
Death Parade [Episode 3] (Both of them were so honest, it was incredible, the twist and the backstory)
NANA [Episode 14] (The build to that scene was intense, yikes)
Black Lagoon [Episode 7] (Rock and Revy's argument) (love the dub version too)

It most definitely will, considering the recent manga chapters that Morikawa has been putting out. It seems that it's only a matter of time before Ippo ends, leaving behind its unmatched legacy.
I am indeed looking forward to it.
I'd say Tatami Galaxy is a show which, at its core, really rides on/utilizes its unique presentation style to convey its messages, and the struggles of the main character. I feel like the eccentricities of its characters, and especially the dialogue, really help to convey an odd sense of anxiety (or mindfuckery) which makes sense given the subject matter the show deals with; being a young adult's first foray into the wild, wacky, and scary world of college. This all gives rise to that aforementioned sense of anxiety, and especially when the main character seems stuck in his own head -- something that I can personally relate to quite a bit. There's a lot of wanderlust that comes with growing up (especially when you're a young adult), and as a result it can lead to some people trying to 'mix-max' their experiences, so-to-speak -- living their lives 100 miles a minute (which I feel really shines through in the dialogue, shit has no chill lmao), which is what our mc goes through. From here, the show is able to go in all sorts of crazy directions and allows for different personalities to bounce off the mc and have their own contributions to his story and how he experiences his 'rose-coloured campus life'. Just from talking about it a little bit, as I said it really is a hard show to put into words, so I apologize if I wasn't able to satisfy you -- but I urge you to push on regardless; in all honestly a lot of what it was trying to portray didn't really click/make sense with me until the very end (the ending ties it all up amazingly, imo).
Also, how've you been btw? It's been literally a year since we last dmed and we haven't actually had much of a proper convo to begin with.
(one last thing, while looking back at our last dm, I want to sincerely apologize for Nodame Cantabile still being in my 'On Hold' purgatory).
You will love it and it is more loved than H&C and also it is adapted by one of the most unique and creative studio "shaft". This is also one of my fav. The only reason I don't prefer it more than H&C is becuz it is also focused on shogi game and I don't enjoy those parts but I think you will love it especially S2 has certain arc which is beautifully crafted and has some amazing heart wrenching moments and if you relate to it then it will hit you more
Great drama SOL!!
Everyone is amazing as a character in Honey and Clover but my most favorite is Morita and Yamada
My favorite aspect of the show and reason I love it is because of great portrayal of characters and their unrequited feelings which is shown in a very realistic way. Also great dialogues this show touch my heart
I maybe in minority but I like it more than 3 gatsu no lion
Thanks for that. I didn't know that Kizumonogatari was a prequel. I'm assuming that once I get there it'll become less confusing.
I think before I watch either of those I'll read the manga for Bakemonogatari to get a better understanding of the characters.
