As you can see, I have been in MAL for over 10 years now, but the number of anime that I have completed is far and few compared to other veteran users of MAL. I can never consider myself an Otaku, those guys are pretty hardcore and I have RPGs to play too.
One of the glaring reasons for my ridiculously high mean score for Anime entries is that I am a very picky Anime viewer. I watch only in and between the genres I prefer, Comedy, Romance, Seinen and a little bit of Shounen, here and there (Only if the show was hilarious.)
Secondly, I see no point in registering an entry for an Anime I could not finish or even like. I see no point in drudging through a whole season if the anime just isn't right for me.
Thirdly, Good, funny, and unique comedies are hard to come by nowadays. We need more. I need more. I want to laugh more.
You're still here? I'm done, that was all. I could write more but I refuse to write a novel here in MAL.
I still need to watch Amagami but Seiren is not bad. I like the different routes but the animation was weird sometimes and the pacing was slow in some episodes.
I'm so sorry about the ridiculously delayed response, I got caught up in life. :/
You don't need to be an artist to do that! Just know someone willing to help you out until you start earning money. :P Or choose an obscure topic that could never possibly become popular then watch it get a huge response for originality (I'm thinking Spice and Wolf here haha).
Seeing as you were so kind to drop by, I'll formally introduce myself. Though I'm a bit of a rookie here (I only joined very recently), but the Monia Cafe seems to be very nice indeed.
Maybe it is the nicest place on MAL (so far it's doing well for that claim). The people there seem to be very nice so I doubt you have to worry :)
Haha both of those sound fun. So you're an English major who wants to teach, and I'm an education major who ended up writing. :p Good luck, wherever you decide to go! What kind of writing do you want to do? If you're thinking of going into the freelance writing business, I'm always good for a few tips. ^^

Better yet I should find someone else to work my job and pay my bills :D
