I'll get around to watching it...eventually. Maybe. I've just really been enjoying Cardcaptor Sakura and One Piece though so I don't think I'll be watching much else for a while.

Does semi-episodic count as brilliant, especially if it has logical errors?
Is characterization great when everybody is basically a simple archetype?

"it didn't really quite become interesting until a little before halfway"

It falls apart in terms of internal logic too in the second half, if that matters to you. I personally disliked the show for not being a story about people but superficial ideology about plot devises.
