Oh god to think that i failed to reply for 3 months. I had great fun with saekano and I'm super hyped for movie. I am also planning to read the novels with my trashy Japanese skills. This definitely felt like a work that is kinda honest love letter to otaku culture. I didn't expect it to turn out to be an anime about creators and artists in otaku world.
Oh yeah the most touted VEG is finally out. It feels weird to like the first episode after spending these many days dissing on it for no apparent reason

No, i didn't watch it. So he found way to make another sao video. If i remember correctly there's also that subsonic sparkle video which talked from the perspective of those who enjoy SAO. I guess the video must be obvious stuff like how ignoring these and these and these and not thinking about these and these can make you fall into liking sao, it got some random cool looking fights, kajiura soundtrack that can totally make you go 'what is context' and can carry scenes on its own, easy romance between asuna and kirito that can make your heart go doki doki and they also have kawaii daughteru. Despite having Jesus as his nickname and armed by thick plot armor and not making any sense as a coherent character, he is a nerd and has nerd problems like being an introvert and not opening up. See it's easy to self insert as kirito. Finally ending the video with 'muh experience with anime' and 'muh standards' are stopping me from liking this 'i am critical desu' . Woah i actually didn't intend to write this much because i haven't even gone past 4th episode but whatever, ah i forgot something .There may also be some nonsense like sao is at the right place at right time and it is going to be one of the first anime for many(yeah i watched sub's video and maybe i am presuming too much but i believe in mother's basement ). All these while standing from the veritable tower of patronizing. I wasn't talking about these kind of defenses. Speaking of which, i haven't been following much of anitube content. I am finding the pertaining discourse and discussion to be uninteresting and i even stopped watching digibro. I still like pause and select, he recently got out the second part of Galbraith's interview that i watched just now and liked it. You should check that out if you didn't already
Yeah I also found sao to be hilariously stupid at times back when i first watched it 3-4 years ago. I want to pick it up again but i have too many other things to do. Sao discussions are funny. the hate is obviously exaggerated often for comical effect. The discussions feel lopsided that is due to lack of those who talk from the perspective of liking it. Yeah i actually do find myself in sao discussions in some weird position. I take the position of critic to their hate. Since the discussions are obvious and kinda meme-y i just like to have fun switching perspectives and veer into some fun territories. They discussions tend to be really terrible. They say that's wishfulfilment but what isn't? that doesn't satisfy our needs to consume and it just doesn't satisfy their wish. The ignorants say 'sao is the main reason for isekai boom', 'Of course it's an LN what better can you expect', 'why does sao even exist', 'those otakus of nippon should get their taste right', 'sao is destroying or harming the industry'...... Yada yada yada.

Yesh, SAO finally, the work as infamous as mein kampf. Seeing how people like to hate on it just makes me read the wiki synopsis and try to find ways to defend it for some stupid reason
