I tried to read outside too last summer, it was nice when I was in the mood for it I would say, sometimes its just better to read at home.
Surely, I mean it has 52 episodeesss, thats alot, still shorter than Monster tho, I need to get back to that because ive taken too long of a break and im not trying to restart it
I actually havent read the books despite rewatching both seasons, will read them someday lol
Do you read a lot?
Ive come accross Heidi on here before, somehow decided against it at the time, but I think Ive chnaged my mind now, I have a vague memory of watching the first episode or something on TV back when I was alot younger, I actually have the original novel with me at home, its a rlly cute hardcover edition, its only about 200 pages so I should probs read it soon
I dont't remember much about Romeo's Blue Skies, I watched it a long time ago (I was 13 ish), I just recall that I liked it at the time. I would reccomend Konnichiwa Anne but im not sure if its your type of thing, its a slice of life, coming of age type of show and essentially a prequel to Akage no Anne, barely anyone has seen this, it shows Anne's struggles to find a permanent home before she ends up with the Cuthberts.
The other two I would reccomend are the anime adaption of Les Miserables (which has a novel and several movie/TV adaptions) and "The Trapp Family Story", the former is about a recently released prisoner and the french revolution as the backdrop I guess? (would have been better if it explored the father-daughter bond between him and the MC but I think there was too much other stuff going on, may have some forced drama) the latter has more family themes with romantic undertones and I think it develops the character relationships pretty well, from what I remember, the main female character in this one I think is bettter, more fleshed and has more personality. Im planning to re-watch some of these since its been a while.
Trueee, it really shows that even if one may seem selfish or inconsiderate, they have good/loving intentions that aren't necessarily immediately clear, it depicts the greyscale nature of the average person well I think.
I will give it another try then, will let you know my thoughts once I start it again.
My brother had recommended it to me originally.
Ty, my reviewing style has changed a lot from when I first started writing them,
I finally know how to write them more or less without spoilers I guess
Yours seem really well-written, is the NieA Under 7 one spoiler-free? im currently watching it, tbh its just a slice of life comedy though so it would be hard to spoil I guess
hii, thanx for accepting
I finished Liz and The Blue Bird yesterday, it was really good, what I love about Kyoani character design is the subtlety in their reactions/facial expressions and how they generally express their feelings, it feels natural without being obnoxious or disingenuous. But I think the film itself is just great at depicting how each girl was attached to the relationship and I love the resolution at the end.
I tried ep1 of His and Her Circumstances a few years ago but I was kinda put off by the slapstick humour, im planning to give it another go though, I was told it was one of the best romances?
I stumbled upon your Youtube channel the other day when your Lain AMV was blessed by the algorithm gods haha. Molchat Doma just happens to be one of my favorite bands as well, and it was such a perfect fit! After that I gave your NHK and Koi Kaze AMVs a watch. Great work!
My own Youtube channel has some quirky AMV's and such if you're ever interested in having a look: WakaMei.
Hopefully we can maintain a decent acquaintance, new fren!
Yeah, spot on. Tsuki ga Kirei is so overlooked and not spoken about enough - especially in the elitist community. It has a very unique feel about it and its approach on teen romance is almost in a league of its own in my honest opinion. I should actually see it again sometime!
Thanks man! That profile picture is from Voynich Hotel, one of my favourite manga series; I created it years ago when I just recently read it. My main profile pic is from Ichigo Mashimaro btw, which is also a minor favourite of mine! Great taste btw
hi there! i finished Genshiken season 2!!! it may be strange to hear, but i favor season 1 :000 im not sure why? still, it was awesome and so enjoyable. you were right about episode 12 being a lot like NHK. i wish they had focused a bit more on his relationship with Ogiue!! so frustrating. also, in some weird way, i was hoping for madarame and kasukabe getting together. i envy their night and day comparison and like him a whole lot better than kousaka. how about you? anyway, thanks for encouraging me to finish season 2 so fast :) <3
Ah that's kind of disappointing :/ it also has a lower rating than the first two. I guess I'll decide whether I want to watch it once I finish the second season. Thanks for the recommendation!!! Do you prefer the manga or anime?
