Ehhhh.
Season three just bit off too much steak and couldn't chew it all. Too many characters, too much confusing plot, too much philosophy, and worst of all, too much fighting. I love season one of Shakugan (season two not so much), so I was really looking forward to this season, but I just didn't enjoy it that much. I'm glad to see that there are people (like you) that did enjoy it, but not me.
My biggest complaint is simple though: never in the previous seasons was a Tomogara a monster. They were all human shaped. Only their minions were sometimes that of a beast. But all of a sudden during the big war in this season just about every single Tomogara is weirdly shaped. This drastically changes the audience perception. Should I side with the humans, or a bunch of beasts? The Flame Haze are just as human as the Tomogara, so wtf.
