I was feeling the urge to write a review about So-so no Frieren but after yours I think isnt so necessary. Some people will counter you with "Not every anime needs 'conflict' and 'danger', Frieren isn't about that!" But at the same time that the anime is "scared of conflict", it spends a lot of time on shallow "life or death" battles to please the shounen audience, even though there is an overpowered duo of protagonists that ruins any sense of danger.
Also don't mind the "downvote" spam in your review (some are bots who voted 1/10 for FMAB btw). Your point about it being almost a "generic isekai" is also spot-on IMO. Frieren fans usually insult/dismiss others calling you "action shounen craving brain". Yet, notice that basically all the "hype" moments according to fans are main character simply flexing on someone with little to no story/character depth whatsoever. It's becoming increasingly clear that one of the main reasons this anime is so absurdly praised is that it's just a "new" type of self-insert medieval power fantasy.
