I am not going to go insanely into detail reviewing a movie that I did not even enjoy, so I gave my honest opinion on it.

The difference is that a Silent Voice was meant to be "relatable" and realistic, while Kimi no na wa was not meant to be. A silent voice did not portray the realism that it was meant to. I would also say that Kimi no na wa was not nearly as melodramatic as the characters never exhibited overly exaggerated emotions all of the time like they did in a Silent Voice.

I watched a lot of those animes long time ago, when I had really bad taste. Your comment made me realize I should update some scores so that they reflect my current opinion. I just finish to do it, so you can check them again if you like, just remember that scores are subjective and everybody has different taste. Have a nice day.
