@strokehere
the cleveland show, season 2, episode 22. yes.
i'm trying to remove the word "no" from my vocabulary. replaced with a "yes"+exclamation or a shrug+"why not?"
BS, MFA, currently freelance. bilingual, can cook, reads books, likes to laugh, loves the beach.
looking for some internet chatter, maybe someone to talk anime with? just tell me what to watch!

any recommendations you have are highly valued and appreciated. minus hentai and manga. and anything previous to 2000. i have this thing... about animation... more than i do about story ... but animation never trumps story. but just because it's well animated doesn't mean it's also a great story. i love stories. sometimes i get bored though. if my eyes and my brain are fed then it is happiness.
Aside from chasing great TV (and there is a lot of it) i also spend time chasing great anime. however, in the last couple years i have been disappointed more than i have been thrilled. if you want to know what great tv shows there are to watch, i shall answer. if you could suggest something for me to watch/delete on my "plan to watch" or any of my lists i can honestly say you will be thanked from the bottom of my heart.
otherwise thank you for visiting. and i hope we can be internet friends.

i like it a little weird, a little fast, make my heart go dokidoki, with some giggles and then tears, make my eyes sparkle like diamonds and i can't stop staring. give it to me nownownow! sometimes i get it but maybe i don't -- i could make up the rest if i had to -- gasping for air and grasping at straws. make it so that saying no would be criminal and add a dollop to make me believe -- give me a reason to live kinda way -- to be inspired and grow from.

It has a similar emotional rhythm... enjoy! ^^
Sorry it took me a while to respond to your request; I've been away for a few days. Having an extra stalker is always perfectly fine with me, especially if the compatibility rating is pretty low: that's by far the best way to get to know both new series and fresh views.
Lol, "Great Firewall" :P
Katanagatari and Tengen Toppa were just too tragic and depressing for me that I regretted watching them, but many of the others were great! ^^
Btw, what's "ano hana"? I wasn't able to find it, do you have a link?
Also, if you tend to lean towards drama/romance, have you tried Clannad After Story? >>> http://myanimelist.net/anime/4181/Clannad:_After_Story
One of my favorite scenes in the Clannad series (spoiler alert) >>>

Don't forget to watch the prequel first...
Let me know if you like it, I'll recommend some more! ^^
Hmm, this is the only break where I stayed in Beijing. Last Jan-Feb I went to Macau to celebrate New Years with family and relatives, and July-Aug break went back home. Somehow now I lack to money to go anywhere else to spend the break D: So I stay here quietly until reg. starts. Something funny:
the whole dorm = 120+ rooms < less than 5 people stayed over for the break = everyone else is rich :I
Let's see, for the cold in Beijing I wear warm clothes with a scarf and everything. Yes, I know I sound crazy D: I bet you are wearing shorts and a t-shirt now like a normal person. Plus flip-flops.
...and I would love to visit Europe...when I marry someone rich. The latter part is like my goal.
Hmm, I do miss SF. Everything over there was so nice. But I guess I am the kind that adapts fast to where I go, so I rarely get homesick? But sure not as cold as here.
Do you miss it? Tho I guess you can just take a drive there :I
Oh yea, you take an exam first if you know some Mandarin to see at what level you are, or start from the bottom if you know nothing.
