Anyone interested in Zen philosophy and satori will love this anime and will get something special out of it. I don't think it's just by chance that its writer [Hikaru Nakamura](https://myanimelist.net/people/4039/Hikaru_Nakamura) is also the author of "[Saint Young Men](https://myanimelist.net/anime/15775/Saint%E2%98%86Oniisan)".
OK here's a quirky suggestion: watch this anime in the same period as you're reading Alan Watts's "The Wisdom of Insecurity" or "The Way of Zen" or "Tao". One activity will illustrate the other.
