You shouldn't skip Gurren Lagann and I tell you this as a person who isn't fond of mecha and avoids watching them. I mentioned Kimi no Todoke which is one of the best shoujo romances out there along with Sukitte Ii na yo and others. Gin no Saji is so good... farming school? Exellent slice of life. First part of Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo is so funny I couldn't stop laughing and again (also) I tell you this as a person who doesn't like comedies and second part is a lot more serious and a real drama show.

Hahaha but you really need to fix your taste. I just couldn't believe that you droped so many beatiful and well made titles. I will suggest you start with Gurren Lagann and Cowboy Bebop. Nobody and I mean nobody will take you seriously (maybe some naruto phase kid) if you can't see how good this two are.
