I remember the first anime I watched was Sailor Moon, I was 7 years old and she was the best crime fighter ever. Since then I've dabbled in all different kinds of anime but I've come to realize that anything with mystery, horror, a little murder, and maybe some mind-fuckary is my style :D I love anything that can scare me or make me laugh. When I'm not watching anime I'm playing video games or spending time with my friends.

I dont know if the show's mysteries are good because I dont try to solve them as the show plays. Im not a mystery-type of person and am in it mostly for the characters. If youre iffy on it, give it an episode or two more and see if you like it. I think the next mystery is more interesting.
But seriously, the story is mainly mysteries that the main characters get dragged into and that Victorique has to solve. Some of their pasts are also explored once in a while. Id classify the anime as a romance mystery. Its good, I enjoy it at least.
BTW, Madoka was awesome. Very unexpected ending and Homura is confirmed for most badass magical girl EVER. Who else uses brings a (dozen) bazookas to a magical fight?
