I have been watching anime online for over a decade. I've forgotten more anime than most fans have probably watched, which is why my list is pretty short. At some point, I may take a real crack at filling it out.

My first exposure to anime was Toonami on Cartoon Network when I was 9 or 10. I watched it every day. Shows like Ruroni Kenshin, Yuyu Hakasho, and Yu-Gi-Oh! started me on the genre (even though I didn't know it was called anime at the time).

My profile image is Keitaro from Love Hina. That anime was the first subbed anime I watched. I was probably 13 at the time. It got me into anime in a deeper way, so it holds a special place for me.

For a long time, I was one of the "ashamed" fans of anime. It was my secret hobby, and I was happy keeping it that way. Anime was years away from being as mainstream as it is now, and there was a stigma attached to it. Now, I am very open about it because most people still don't understand the depth anime has to offer. I'm glad that the genre has grown enough to be more in the public eye, and I hope more people can grow to love the thing that has meant so much to me for so long.
