Softness overcomes all the hardness in the world, whatever in psychology or in physics, it's no lie.
Soft guy makes tough guy become soft, may it be visible or not, inside of him becomes soft, it's just matter of time. Same with rock, water makes the rock dull. Water is adaptable and without shape, if you put it in tea-cup it'll become a tea-cup, if you put it in can it'll become can.
I'm really glad you wanted to reply with such a "wall of text".
I have written an extended reply to that, but I don't think a series of comments here is the most right place for a discussion like that.
Maybe I can write you an email, or add you to msn? Not that I wrote private things or such, I just think this profile comments are more suitable for lighter and shorter messages.
I'd say that Philosophy has contributed to science a lot, rather than religion.
Actually, the modern Western science has a very philosophical basis; modern physics (maybe not the most recent and complex parts of it) take for granted Cartesian philosophy, on two points in particular: that the man knows a representation of the objects around him, and that there is a neat dualism between "res cogitans" ("thinking thing") and "res extensa" ("extended thing" i. e. matter).
The 64 hexagrams sound very interesting, although I haven't read the I-ching (at least yet).
Regarding the religion, I'm not totally into a particular one, and what about you?
I study Philosophy so a lot of parts of many religion don't interest me very much... I like Taoism also for its incredible strong philosophical basis and themes, which in my humble opinion are valuable even from the point of view of Western philosophy which is much more "strict".
Thanks for accepting me; anyway I was kidding when I said you had to back me up ^_^ anyway what pushed me into replying so much in that thread wasn't the pursue of proving him wrong but just to point out how much his one was an opinion with no kind of proofs whatsoever, and how much people should discuss about good reasons to believe in something rather than arguing about proofs.
Really, did they disable private messages? Or they just don't work on your computer?
That's so old but it still airs on chinese television. It is from 80's or 90's but I have seen like 30 episodes but not in order so I don't really know what it is about. And I don't understand the story at all. How did the monkey king became immortal, or is he not? Well, he lived over 500 years before he came to heaven and started to make mess in there, so I assume that he is immortal. I haven't read the story but I can't read the chinese caligraphy or how it is called. By the way, I have noticed that you have "currently living in Hanoi", weren't you living in czech republic?
Yeah, this could go into Support too. No problem with sending it to me, but I have lots of things to do currently, so I am not very much up to date with the forum. It's probably a database problem, anyway, it's no one deleting your posts, as far as I know (if a mod did that, they'd tell you why, and I have seen no posts by you which would justify a deletion).
Ah, OHSHC is just an acronym for Ouran High School Host Club. Rather painful to write that entire thing out, ahaha, and it's a known acronym for any fans of the series.
You should definitely watch many of the Miyazaki films, as they have their own plots and own stories. It doesn't have any connections with any other series. But yes, do try Spirited Away. It really will be worth your time (hopefully!).
But I understand the woes of the side stories rather well. Another reason why I'm not as fond of anime, due to fillers and the movies that seem to come along with them.
