My rating system
Who the hell cares...
Well, actually, there are some things to consider when browsing through my scores:
1. Please keep in mind that a bunch of scores might be outdated.
2. Completed anime with no score are the re-watches I'm planning on doing somewhere in the future.
3. Some anime with 5/10 score are not necessarily average. I have watched several of them long ago and now don't know what opinion I have on them.
4. I change my scores. Usually, they end up being lowered.
Favourites & Taste
I don't dislike anime. I can love every anime in its own way, despite my mean score. I don't live with hate in my soul. What does this all mean? To understand my taste, you should pay attention not just to my favourites, but to all shows which I scores from 8 to 10 (there aren't many of them). Besides, consider that I add the first season of whatever anime if I like every season of it. Also, I love every character from the anime I rated 10/10.
Probably, Azumanga Daioh is the the best anime I have ever watched. It was my 300th completed and turned out to be so great that I nearly decided to quit watching anime entirely. It's not like it's perfect though.
My first anime was Lucky Star. It has defined my favourite genre as SoL, especially Iyashikei and other sub-genres of it. Iyashikei is, in fact, one of the fuels that helps me to function as a member of society.
The lowest ever mean score for my anime list I have ever had was around 4.85

Profile pic source
The girl is Itsuki Nakano from 5-toubun no Hanayome. When setting up a profile, I have chosen a random screenshot with a favourite character from a not-so-good manga. As a result, I have become very used to it.
I get it, KnK has like eight films, I don't know if every single one of them is going to be good, but I can only hope that they don't drop the ball and retroactively ruin the entire series, Psycho-Pass style. Hopefully that doesn't happen and it ends up being an *overall* enjoyable watching experience, for both Monogatari and KnK.
I watch my fair share of anime, other people (especially on MAL) watch *way* more than I do, but that's because I really don't want to waste my time with garbage anime. It absolutely sucks to be watching or reading something that appeals to you and then have the ending be goddamn awful. My overall experience with Gantz was positive, but the end was so awful that it made me step back for a minute and analyze what the hell I read, and if I had wasted my time or not. I spend quite a bit of time researching the anime/manga beforehand specifically for that reason, if it seems like something I'd be into; I go in. Otherwise, maybe not. I end up having a lot of positive scores because of that, primarily.
I'm sorry to inconvenience you when it comes to Discord, I'm not very good with cellphones. I'll see what I can do, though; I'll send you my Discord ID via PM.
I have heard very good things about the Monogatari series, and I have liked the very few clips I've seen of it; I suppose I'm mostly intimidated by the mere length of it. I will get to it eventually, however, I'm a picky viewer so if it grabs my attention, I'll *definitely* watch it.
I've been reading more manga as of late, as I find that particular medium to be more creative, and also easier to get through. And yes, I have not heard a *single* good thing about Tokyo Ghoul S2 (except some contrarians on /a/ claiming that TG is a better written Chainsaw Man, which is ludicrous), TG doesn't appeal to me, but I hope you can at least have some fun. Laughing at how bad it is, perhaps. Ultimately, I understand your viewpoint, as I'll be busy watching the KnK movies soon, but do feel free to recommend whatever anime you want. Kill Me Baby looks interesting, and it's short enough that I would give it a try.
I personally find MAL to be insufficient for communication, so if you want to talk on Discord or another messaging application, I'd be okay with that. That being said, your review of Non Non Biyori made me look more into the series and it's surprisingly cool, I kinda want to watch it now, so thank you for that, haha.
Hey, your taste in anime is pretty cool. Haibane Renmei, Serial Experiments Lain, NHK, Lucky Star, etc. Especially Lucky Star, it *really* doesn't get the love it deserves. Not a lot of people talk about it nowadays, sadly, even though it used to be the shit back in the day. I like the dynamic between Kagami and Konata a lot, reminds me of the kind of relationship Mio and Yuuko have in Nichijou. Which you'd probably enjoy, if you're into comedy anime, although the humor is extremely 'Japanese', in that it has a lot of Japanese references and puns. Mind if I send you a friend invite? Some people don't like sudden messages and invites, but I figure I might as well try since I like your favorites, haha. It's always nice to meet someone that's into SEL/Haibane, also, rather difficult to find someone that's really into music on MAL.
ay nice Tomozaki-kun review my guy, I have the exact same opinion of the show, except that it's not a 1/10 for me just because Kayano Ai is in the show
You say "In episode 3, one girl told her secret to Tomozaki; the other one asks him to help her learn to play Attack Families." how is these 2 small things too much for one episode?
