How I Rate My Anime

I divide my anime into two groups:

The first group (ranked from 1 to 5): This includes all the animes that are not highly philosophical. For example, Black Lagoon, Samurai Champloo, or whatnot. For these animes, 5 in my rankings equals 10 in yours. When I give a score of 5 for an anime, that means I think it's a great piece of work, and it has all the properties of a perfect anime.

The second group (ranked from 6 to 10): This includes all the animes that are philosophical, or deep (imo). That means all these animes are equal to a 5-ranked anime, but they have one thing extra, that is the "philosophical" element. So when I give Ghost in the Shell S.A.C the score of 10, this means it is just as good as an anime with the score of 5 (such as Black Lagoon), except it has the extra "philosophical" element. For this group, the higher the value, the more I like the philosophy of the anime.
