I am an immigrant also, and when I moved into the U.S, I was also bullied by the kids my age because I didn't speak English, and because I had a totally different mindset from alot of the kids. It was definitely a culture shock at first, and I initially hold some hatred towards my situation, but ultimately I decided that hatred would only take out energy from me and be more detrimental than good, and I decided to instead show compassion. It's been years now since I've been in the US and that philosophy has done wonders in terms of relationships and the way that I view myself and my relation to people and the world.
I was intrigued by your comment, since I have experience similar things. Usually people who are treated like that grow to resent and hold hatred, but I'm glad that it didn't affect as negatively as it did others.
You mentioned in one of the post on the forum that you were racially discriminated since you were little, if it is not too personal for me to ask, in what capacity did you mean?
