huh! i remember that being a real mess for a lot of its run, and being very disappointed with its pacing; I ended up dropping it in episode 14. different strokes? i know other people who really like it too, so i guess its more weird for me to be this surprised haha.

Heyyyyy, I recently finished Gankutsuou and I can see why it's one of your favourite anime! I'm curious if you've read the novel and if so, what were your thoughts on how they compared? For me, at least, the sci-fi setting and the arthouse graphics got me thinking about Dumas in ways I'd never considered before, so watching the anime was a blast.
