[quote]I like what I like. That's all. I have low standards, so I pretty much enjoy all anime that others can't.
I don't really watch just because it's a great story, I watch because it's interesting. So all of my ratings are how much I enjoyed it, not how great the animation or story was.
There are some anime that had amazing quality stories and animation, but sometimes I just enjoyed something else more, and I'm not saying you're trash for enjoying them, I'm just saying enjoy what you want and I'll do the same, I'm not one to force enjoyment. I like what I like and you like what you like, that's all.
I just enjoy what I find interesting at the time, so this may not be accurate, but it usually follows this trend. I tend to get bored at action since I keep thinking if you have to fight you already lost, but some action scenes I like, some.
Slice of life
I just like to relax and watch some anime. Most of these are cute girls doing cute things, basically just cute shit to take my mind off of my life.
Isekai
Generic or otherwise, I enjoy all of them. Smartphone, enjoyed it; death march, enjoyed it; Ragnarok, enjoyed it; so in summary, it's hard to find an isekai I don't like. I don't generally care for backstory (but if there is it's appreciated) so just tell me truck-kun went by following the isekai formula and I'll consider it an isekai.
Romcoms
Osamake got my humor. I know romance is included in romcoms but I just want to see how they can stall. Most people are here for romance, I'm here for the comedy.
Psychological
I just want leaps in logic, I don't care if it's good, I just want to think back and go "Ohh so that's what that shot was for". I find these shows enjoyable since it panders to the part of me that overthinks, yes I'm the type that rewinds anime when I see something interesting or get distracted since I was playing with the plot in my head.
Writing, gave up after 6 months.
Programming, on and off over a year.
Drawing, expecting to give up in a few months, currently asking why I started in the first place.
Gaming, playing just to kill time, enjoyment is just frustration.
These are shows that are not the best. Just put it plainly, these aren't supposed to be the best, they are just for enjoyment sake. I made this because most tend to recommend what they think is the best, best story, best animation, best sound design; I just want to show you what anime is. If you start from the top, you'll only look down, I want you to look up while climbing. Enjoy your way to the top, and while doing so appreciating lower quality shows that you wouldn't otherwise.

Summary
A person dies and gets reborn in another world, with their memory they are more knowledgeable for a young age on how things works and so have a better understanding thus are just better in terms of refining their ability from the very start. the basic isekai summary
Shtick
This show however isn't a guy with a bunch of girls like most isekais, he is surrounded by his classmates, that because of his abilities gets put into the ranks of royalty I'm just putting out there, Aug best boy. This is a show not based on story but on interaction, they are just high schoolers having fun on what they can do, and because of Shin (our protagonist) they can do a lot that most would consider impossible.
Why I'd recommend this?
It's for developing the fact that just because it's generic doesn't mean it's bad since most isekais have the same tagline. A show accomplished its goal when you are entertained, generic or otherwise.

Honestly, this show is hilarious, but unfortunately people seem to misunderstand see what I did there that misunderstandings are the humor of this show. The romance isn't the thing you're supposed to be focusing on, it's the misunderstandings. How convoluted things get is just amazing. It's a clusterfuck of situations in their heads.
Why I'd recommend this?
This show will teach you how to handle misunderstandings, not as an annoyance, but as a great feature of the story. That way, you enjoy more of anime than being annoyed by it.
Koisuru Asteroid
Summary
Our main has a childhood crush on a boy she saw once while camping, this encounter led her to like astronomy and vowed that the two would find a asteroid and name it after the boy. Years later, she joins a club to her surprise has a girl with the same backstory, and she finds that the boy isn't a boy but rather this girl. And so they start their journey on slowly learning more about geology and astronomy.

Most CGDCTs can be classified with one schick they align to with some having a hint of yuri. This one is about Astronomy and Geology, though don't expect a deep dive, as well as not much of a romance, this is more so about the interactions between each characters being something to slow your brain down after a hard day's work.
Why I'd recommend this?
Just A starter for cute girls doing cute things. Not the best, but a good show nonetheless. Just relax and enjoy your climb to the top of cute girls doing cute things.
Ryuuou no Oshigoto!
Summary
A 16 year old master at shogi from what I've watched, it's japanese chess, japanese in terms that it is cooler has found a 9 year old loli in his room. Said girl seems to be a shogi master in the making and so she becomes his apprentice. She takes a shower because she just arrived after a long trip and a knock is heard. Knowing the implications of having a loli in the shower, he blocks the door only of the 9 year old to be a scary loli, she then trips on him naked as another girl (main love interest) walks in a classic call the fbi situation.
Shtick
This is a show about shogi... This is a show about shogi... This is a show about shogi... This is a show about loli... This is a show about shogi... This is a show about loli... But honestly, as a person that knows jack shit about shogi tried to learn because of the show it was really intense for whatever reason.
This can be called a cute girls doing shogi things but with a main protagonist that is a male. It's more leaning to loli harem there are pedo jokes, but he just thinks of them as cute, not really a love interest, and even so a 5 year age difference is fine imo, and a 2 year age difference for the main love interest than a CGDCTs.
Why I'd recommend this?
This is just to get you started on the wonderful world of headpats. Just cute little pieces of shit that needs to be protected and given headpats. The wonderful world of lolies. I am not a pedo, I just like it when kids are cute and not devil spawn like in real life, it’s a good break from reality that is hell just headpats and that's it, no hentai allowed.

Why I'd recommend this?
These are my favorite anime. I don't personally treat them as the best, since I know that a lot of people will argue. However, these are the shows that stuck to my mind. Though most shows I tend to theorize random situations happening, often trying to predict what happens next; these shows have ingrained themselves to my mind by both not trying too hard nor being lazy. In some cases the thing that I like the most about these may not be the actual plot, it may just be that they made me wonder more and not stick to the plot, making me watch them multiple times just because I spend too much time thinking and miss the actual show. So yes, I’ve watched every episode of these shows more than 3 times from what I’ve remember
Imouto Sae Ireba Ii
Summary
The autobiography of the blessed holy scripture of incest Eromanga Sensei and Oreimo, Tsukasa Fushimi.
But seriously, it depicts the life of Itsuki Hashima in his job of writing incest novels. This is accompanied by him and his friends playing around their lives with some ups and downs.
Characters
Mains
Itsuki Hashima
Our incest writer mc.
Nayuta Kani
Real name Kazuko Hashima, Our main heroin.
Haruto Fuwa
Our obligatory male friend in a harem.
Miyako Shirakawa
Our obligatory female friend of the mc to make a love triangle.
Sides
Chihiro Hashima
A great reverse trap imouto. That's a spoiler but come on, it was obvious. She's a caring imouto, what more do you want? She's hiding her gender as you already know, Itsuki is a bit of a siscon. And yet she still takes care of him, she's just stupidly sweet.
Setsuna Ena
A fellow ass man, and a true hero for ass equality; young or old, acquaintance or stranger, he will look at the ass. Like a white haired a illustrator who descended from the heavens of eromanga sensei, the embodiment of sagiri herself that was a line from the manga the anime cut out, Itsuki's words not mine.
Kaiko Mikuniyama
Sagiri's voice actor, and like true sagiri fashion, draws lewd but not erotic illustrations with a face covering that being her fucking ribbon that turns into panties and she wears them on her face, I cannot make this shit up.
Ashley Oono
The greatest accountant I've seen and will ever see. Just give me more scenes of her. That's how I describe her, "Give me more". Her episode was just gold dipped in gold. Do yourself a favor and see her in action. I still hear her Mainichi... It echoed in my brain like the way Haruto felt, it was glorious.
Kenjirou Toki
The reminder that real life is shit, but you can have fun. He works his ass off chasing down illustrators and authors enough to be an expert at a manhunt. Though both despise each other when it comes to the job, Itsuki and Toki have a good relationship. Also, he was great introduction to the series. Just what the hell was that first few minutes? I don't know but it was something close to heaven I'll tell you that much.
Reason why I love this
I am a sucker for easter eggs, and this series just throws them left and right. It somehow makes the series more realistic. It's not that they know they're in an anime, it's like they know they're real and for them to had watched the same shows in real life as us implies that they are just as real as us. These are the type of stuff that I think of during watching.
It makes people with no depth, to deep characters with their interactions. Making it fun to watch for anyone who likes slice of life, and a great deep dive in lore for the people that likes to overthink. A perfect combination of lore and entertainment that lore becomes entertainment; not so much that it's obvious, and not so little that it's just an addition.
For this we can use the word "Protagonist" as they do in the show as someone that they look up to, or someone that they think their story revolves around, being unconfident in their own life.
Itsuki and Haruto.
Itsuki, with his own backstory of being in Haruto's position of not being the main character in his own life, has has become obsessed by what he desires, the affection of his past love. Their (Itsuki's and the past crush) bond was like those of a sibling with his mom being gone, and the house maid taking the role, the daughter of the said house maid has become somewhat connected to him in a familiar way metaphorically. And so after being rejected, he is obsessed in reading situations where they could work out, or because she's older than him it became a cope to read with someone younger in it as a means to forget. And that led him to find his calling of an author, being, from his own words, "the son of the family that the mother of a minor character who got rejected by the protagonist works for" (in this case, his story revolves around the person that rejected his crush, as he had something that he wanted, the affection of the girl) and "not even a background character" drove him to try and make his way out not realizing he did. And let's compare that now, he may not be the protagonist yet (he says as he confesses to liking Nayuta and she's the protagonist because he looks up to her because of her writing ability), but he's still better off than Haruto, the "friend of the protagonist that likes the girl that likes the protagonist but is considerate of her friend that also likes the protagonist" (Itsuki being the protagonist as he has what he a wants, skill and Miyako ), he thinks he is the obligatory guy friend in a harem. Haruto is Itsuki without a Imouto obsession, without a trigger to make himself into a protagonist, and from the looks of it, Miyako might be the trigger.
Nayuta and Itsuki.
What do you say when someone you like is up and beyond yourself? You think yourself as unworthy, whether you want it or not. It’s a basic human response to feel inferiority, that’s why people that don’t let it bother them, are the people that grew to not. But that’s just being Idealistic, the world isn’t going to grow because you yourself had grown; there are still people that treat others based on their status, or the status around them. If he had already tied the knot with Nayuta, he’d be treated as just a supporting character to the protagonist (Nayuta being the protagonist as he himself says when talking about it with Haruto on episode 11), and compromise what he wants, that being to be the protagonist of his own life. While on the other hand, Nayuta sees Itsuki as the protagonist (Thought she doesn’t really care who the protagonist is), being the one that brought her out of her broken state. Though, it is not clear if she had gotten over the problems completely (she had one incident at the game on episode 6), but for one thing certain she did have them, and Itsuki’s the one that saved her, to her the title we set as “protagonist” is nothing; and that’s Nayuta’s point, she doesn’t let status or anything get in the way of what she wants. Even if she isn’t the very top talent of the cast, she isn’t going to let anything get in the way of what she wants, even confronting Miyako the first time they met, to just live your life without titles.
Miyako and Nayuta.
They are just friends to say the least. Nayuta, being the protagonist of her own life, has a giant contrast to Miyako, a comparably shallow character, not knowing what she wants and just going along with the people with her. We constantly see that Miyako joins in quickly, sometimes arguing but does it nonetheless, that she knows what hard work is and appreciates people like Haruto and cries for him when his hard work crashed before their eyes, and also is very considerate of Nayuta as even if she likes Itsuki she does not go for him. This all good attributes until you realize what she's actually thinking. She's easy to peer pressure, she cries at Haruto's hard work failing as she knows she couldn't come close to what they do so she figures that her hard work is less worthy than theirs, and talking about unworthy, she knows to herself that she has no right to fight against Nayuta for Itsuki, call it considerate but it's self-deprecation at the same time. She thinks of herself as unworthy and so just follows along, while not knowing what she wants to do herself.
Haruto and Miyako.
The two that don’t see themselves as protagonists, one trying to reach it while falling, and one being self-stated unworthy for it. You may find the two similar; the main two if had failed on something will get angry and work hard to fix it, while these two don’t know. They work their hardest, for it to fail, or have no use, and act like everything is fine. Miyako has no ambition, being angry that Itsuki left college as she thought it was needed and his departure was a crack in that logic (also because she had liked him), to work even though you are unsure of what you’re working for. While we have Haruto working to be special, to be talented, but as he sees it’s not simple to do so, and so he fails, to work even if failure is inevitable. And here we see the potential for growth, for Miyako to have an ambition and to realize her worth, to just live her life not based on other’s; and for Haruto to be just as talented (for a lack of better words) as the protagonist he sees. To be protagonists of their own lives, from the supporting casts.
The humor of the show is very similar to my own humor, and the first scenes of the series just reflects that.
Art style wise, it's great as it matches the tone of the show very well, the simple comedic lives of our novelists. When imitating the goddess Kirino in the first episode, Itsuki grows a fang... I love this show
Nayuta. I love this show because of all the characters, but especially Nayuta.
Yahari Ore no Seishun Rabukome wa Machigatteiru
Summary
The story of one of the most edgiest main protagonist in anime, with the comment section filled with philosophical bs and sparking the comments full of “He’s so me” and “Relate” while consequentially being accompanied by comments making fun of said comments saying “he has character development, you don’t”; and as and as a true neutral myself I agree with both, I am Hachiman without any character development, just an person that's alone coping by telling myself it's the world's fault. If people believe religion to keep themselves happy, then I can believe the world is shit to be happy though I don't force people to join, unlike religion. Keeping yourself deluded is a way to be satisfied, to not change. Sometimes insanity is the only way to keep sane; In a world where leaving it is the only salvation, being completely detached from it keeps you in it. Either lose your mind, or lose your life...
Anyways back to the actual anime, got sidetracked a bit there. In its simplest form, it’s about Hikki sacrificing himself to serve the request given to the club, with a love triangle for spice.
Characters
Mains
Hachiman Hikigaya
Our anti-social Jesus, our lord of edge, the great savior, one that has sacrificed himself more times than Jesus himself. A social reminder that an anime character has more complicated emotions than some people.
Yui Yuigahama
The rem of "I love emilia". The adorable and sweet person you don't want to see cry but end up the one you see crying the most. The friend in the group that pulls everyone along to have fun. The first, and in great literary fashion, last request their club has gotten.
Yukino Yukinoshita
The silent sharp tongue. The person that let someone distort their life. The person given the freedom, chooses to follow those without. The person that wished for the wish of her friend, even if at the cost of her own wish.
Sides
Iroha Ishikki
I'm sorry but she's best girl to me, forever will be. You know how Dr Strange deals with Dormammu? "Hachiman, I've come to reject". Also also, I love the fact that the first time she rejected him her response was "never" and the last time was "This is a bad time, ask me later".
Komachi Hikigaya
Honestly one of the greatest imouto I've seen in anime, and I've seen a lot of those. She is bordering on incest with their point game and not with her insults at the same time, best of both worlds. Though honestly the scene where she was thanking him just made me care more about her than my actual sister (yes, I do have sisters, they are demons. So don’t worry that I like incest jokes, it’s far from real life)...
Saika Totsuka
I know. I know. sHe's cute.
Hayato Hayama
Our other side of the same coin; the hero for our anti-hero, trying to give results where everyone's satisfied where Hachiman's going for full results with him (as well as people that like him) at a loss.
Haruno Yukinoshita
A sister who is trying to give her sibling something that she never had, freedom. Even if she has to throw the bird out of the cage.
Shizuka Hiratsuka
The teacher we all want, giving us advice that actually helps. Also the person born 10 years too early to have a boyfriend.
Saki Kawasaki
An absolute tsunde- I mean an absolutely great older sister
Yoshiteru Zaimokuza
Comedic Relief, and a great one at that. But in all honesty he just seems like a great friend to hang with.
Reason why I love this
I am a sucker for reading in between lines, since I tend to not trust people by just what they say in real life. So when an anime that is mostly sub context appears, you know I’ll love it.
I can try to explain the series in all since I did put a lot of hours (days to be honest) to try and complete my understanding of the show, even reading the source material and manga, but I’m not confident that I know every thread in the cloth that is this show. Just watch every “Oregairu explained” on YouTube or essays on Reddit. This is partly why It’s not my number 1 favorite (also just cause imouto sae really matches my humor), it’s too complicated that even if I know everything, I know there is something I missed; I don’t like that feeling, so it’s entirely on me and not the show’s fault.
The cynicism in this show is something I relate to to a fundamental level, i.e., I had a shit childhood. However, I took a different approach to Hachiman. I developed it as “pessimistic optimism” where you expect the worst so you never become disappointed while doing nothing as it could affect your expectation, while he went for the full edge lord and became confident. In summary, everything Hachiman thinks, I agree with completely, but just replace the confident monologue with a guy seeming to make a joke.
Art style wise, in the first season it’s very cartoonish, like everything is great and everyone gets along perfectly. Then jump to the last season and that style is nowhere to be found, which I think is perfect. It shows the lighter themes to draw you in "aww they're making cookies" in season 1 to the "Please don't show me Yui crying again, please come on, Yui deserves better than this." that is season 3.
Iroha. I love everyone in this show, but especially Iroha.
Eromanga Sensei
Summary
Ok... Ok... I may sound bad for this being one of my top 3 with the summary being a 16 year old novelist living alone with his 13 year old not blood-related step sister that he likes who draws lewd not erotic illustrations for his works.
Our not biologically related sister who draws erotic lewd illustrations who is also underage.
Sides
Elf Yamada
Real name Emily Yamada, our Best underaged Girl.
Muramasa Senju
Our airheaded lovestruck underage antagonist.
Megumi Jinno
*Underaged Ochinchin daisuki noise*
Tomoe Takasago
Obligatory underaged childhood friend.
Reason why I love this
This entire series is a meme. I love it.
It has no depth what so ever, but it covers it up by great comedy. This isn’t the series to look for lore, this is a series that turns your brain off just for some brain dead comedy.
This is the type of anime that I laugh at, parodies and tropes. The likes of osamake and kanojo mo kanojo, basically making fun of childhood friends and harems.
Art style wise, I love it. The innocent look compared to the absolute trash that is the show. I say it’s trash but it’s absolutely great in all respects. All in all, it’s very cute and the contrast to the show makes it even better.
Yamada. I love this show with its memes, but especially Yamada.
These are just some characters I like. Their personality (good or toxic whatever your stance I have my own) is something I love seeing in their respective anime. Being entertaining is a top priority to all anime, and these characters are entertaining me for every second they're on screen, or leave me questioning myself to the point where asking more seems fun.
Nayuta Kani
Imouto Sae Ireba Ii
Personality
She is absolutely horny. But jokes aside, she's what I imagine a great friend to hangout with. She cracks great jokes making every situation fun when you're with her. Honestly me and most of my friends all have the same sense of humor as her; and yes, there are girls like her (not the constantly wants senpai's chinchin, I mean the jokes, well, unless I'm incredibly dense and treated it as jokes)
She's like the main trio in eromanga sensei combined. Sagiri's cuteness as well as being an imouto to Mya-san, Muramasa's overkill skill in writing as well as her air headed trust in our mc, and Yamada's hobby of being naked personality and crafty attitude but removing the tsundere of a proposal, add in a bit of iroha for the kohai feel but turn rejections into invitations and you'd get her. But best of all, she's legal, so screw off FBI.
If you ask me why she's at the very top I wouldn't know how to answer, she just is. She's just best girl without question.
Characters that I like for the similar reasons
Iroha Isshiki
Oregairu
Her rejection game with Hachiman is just a great laugh but if you look at her responses, she starts at "never" to "ask again later" which is just a great detail.
One thing that I want to see is for her to have a spin off with komachi. I mean Iroha is just as trashy as Hachiman Komachi's words not mine, and Komachi can deal with that level of trash, I just want them to be together to be completely honest.
Insert the psychology of Iroha since it's oregairu but joking aside, I do find it interesting watching two faced characters, from cute kohai to bad-mouthed-manipulator (just watch Iroha when she meets Komachi), it's fun to watch.
Elf Yamada
Eromanga Sensei
She's a great meme.
Her roundabout proposal was great to be honest, I know the series is a meme but that scene was really good.
I don't know why but I have a thing(? is that the right word to use?) or interest in chuunibyou characters. They're just so fun to watch (that sounded creepy but still) since their eccentricity for most of the time infects me.
Kosaki Onodera
Nisekoi
Personality
She is absolutely adorable. Just straight up cute in everyway I could think of. I know some people find her annoying for not saying 3 words to the guy she likes, but it's cute, her hesitation is cute, her embarrassment is cute, everything she fails at is perfect.
And what I just said was the problem. She's perfect, she doesn't need to change, she's cute the way she is, and so we're stuck on her never improving. As the series continues beyond the anime, each girl tries something to change, to try and win a harem anime, to try to make Raku to fall for them, but not Onodera, he was already in love with her, so why would she change. And so she was doomed to lose. Being perfect doesn't mean you're going to win.
Fear, fear of change, fear of destroying the friendship they had with a rejection, being a friend is better than being rejected they both thought. Never crossing the distance and so never telling each other until it was too late. This especially is something that I can look to, it's simple to say "just say it" but each person has their demons, and others are just better at beating said demons.
If you read the manga, the line "Do you still love me?" comes up. The amount of time they had, just 3 word, and no one said it. After their childhood had buried itself deep in their minds, they met each other again by fate, and slowly fell of each other once again, not knowing that their promise was to each other. A single confession, 3 words, was all it took. It still hurts when I remember that line... "Do you still love me?", a message to a long gone Raku, from the person who was next to him all these years... As someone sentimental, this hurts...
Similar characters that I like for the same reasons
Tomoe Koga
Seishun Buta Yarou
She takes a role of a Laplace demon, a scientific figure that can predict the future using set values of everything in the universe. An argument for determinism, meaning that the future cannot be changed as it is already set.
Her power are controlled by her emotions and manifests as a time loop with our mc, who she falls for. Unfortunately, he already has someone, and so her emotions keep her in a loop until her emotions are resolved, i.e., being rejected.
The irony of trying to change the future by repeating the past and having the role of a Laplace demon, a figure that defines an unchangeable future, is just a gold. She lost from the start. She was given the role of rejection.
Satone Shichimiya
Chuunibyou
Maki Shijou
Kaguya Sama: Love is War
She is the embodiment of suffering in this series.
A quick recap since all her chapters were all cut from the anime even though she was close to Shirogane, Ishigami, and sort of Kaguya (I know, this girl just can't take a break); she is the distant relative of Kaguya, and a loyal friend of Nagisa (the sex demon), and also has a crush on her best friend's boyfriend... Yeah, now you know... She has her best friend being banged by the guy he likes...
She's also known as tsundere senpai. Honestly, she's a cuter Tsundere than Kaguya for how little we see her, I said it.
One thing I love is how aka (the mangaka) blatantly tries to make her suffer, for example, she went to India for Christmas to have piece of mind, and as we see her having her peace, the background is just mosaic censor, implying Nagisa and Tsubasa going at it at Christmas. Maki, ignorance is bliss... It is bliss I tell you.
But for real, she is a good friend. She always tries to not let it bother her (let's ignore for a moment her, Ishigami, and Shirogane tried to rationalize stealing Tsubasa), though you can actively see her struggling.
