My rating system is very unscientific. I rate based on degree of enjoyment, thrill, humor, immersion in to the story, art, characters, the mood I am in and mostly if the previous episode will compel me to watch the next episode or not. There have been a lot of times when I have watched an average/below average anime in a situation where I have enjoyed it highly and rated it above average. The series I watched as a kid and the ones which got me started watching anime are the ones I have rated highly regardless its average/below average parameters. The highest rated are the ones which I have viewed more than thrice.
My mean ratings tend to be high because I go through a tedious process of researching an anime before I invest my time watching it. Lately it is getting very difficult and more tedious to find series which will keep me hooked beyond 2 episodes. There have been a lot of disappointments. It maybe because my tastes are evolving and I am able to spot cliches rather easily. If I revisit some of my above average rated series there is a good possibility I might downgrade their ratings now.
Anyhow I am neither a critic nor a connoisseur of anime I am just an ordinary fan who thinks the beautiful world of anime is a portal to escape the anxieties of our daily life and unwind.
Happy viewing!

P.S. Thanks for complimenting my profile and my anime list layout. I really appreciate it since it took me days to create those. Hahaha. Thank you, yet again! :)
