I love any style but will tend to be more adventurous with Shoujo due to Shoujo being like a mine field you never know when you'll be hit by genius, as appose to Shounen where Naruto and Bleach run and smack you. YaHa
Things that anime gets wrong.
1. The full English title of Kaiji is actual. 'The Suffering Messiah. Kaiji. The Ultimate Survivor'
2. Even though the anime is spelt Kanon and is written in English on the anime Kanon. I believe that it should be written Canon due to it being named after the symphony ‘Canon’ or the musical idea Conon which is a variation of the musical idea rounds like the song 'What do you do with a drunken sailor' if sung correctly creates a never ending musical harmony. (This is referenced in the anime.)

I'm about 8 or 9 episodes behind in your podcast ^_^
Have you done a Spring preview/ thoughts on this seasons anime episode yet?
I think on a deeper metaphoric level, the traffic lights were not just a shout out to EVA, but it meant something to the progression of Yukino and Arima's relationship and the bumps they encounter. Not to mention, it just looked good, even if they truly had no symbolism.
And yes, I know about his dropping out of it, so I also consider his Kare Kano to be like A.I. or Persuasion or something. Incomplete, though for what he did, I loved it. I just consider it to be a great book I read where someone tore out the last few chapters, and stuck in the pages of some other book to fill it up. I don't discredit what I read before, but it will never be the true work if the original author, so to speak.
I think you made my morning. Listened to your podcast about Aoi Hana, and I quite enjoyed it.
As per the gay-Saki, Aoi Hana isn't like that. It's a big misconception that most of the girls are gay in AH, because they're not. In Japan, and especially in the shoujo genre, girls are extremely affectionate to one another. In fact, lots of girls have admiration-crushes on other girls, and it's quite normal. They're a lot more open about being romantic (keep in mind, not like romance-romantic) with other girls.
I went to a girls' school myself, and while I've never met a lesbian in all my years there, the girls were very open and affectionate with one another. They gave each other chocolates on Valentine's Day, always hugged one another, or were hanging over one another, cheered like fangirls when say the upperclassmen were playing sports. It's a sense of openness you can get to have without people ever condemning you to "You're gay!"
Nice list =D
I checked the labs after then but you weren't there so I left. Good luck for tomorrow! See you at uni some time before they start anyway!
I like how the number 11 is factored into the series. Mr Outside was a big soccer fan, and there are 11 players on a soccer team. But then you have the twelth selecao who stole Juiz at the end, who is clearly seperate from the rest - the Supporter or Mr Outside himself. Then you have 11 episode.
