Context for the scoring that I give on my anime list:

-First I give a score out of 5 for how much enjoyment I got out of watching an anime
-Second I give a score out of 5 on how good I think the show was from a more technical stand point.
-Finally I combine the two scores to give me a rating out of 10.

So if you see that I have given a 6 or 7 out of 10, to an anime that you think is terrible. It is probably because I greatly enjoyed it, even while acknowledging its flaws. Likewise if you see a 6 or 7 on anime that you would consider amazing. It is possible that while I also think its a good show, it just isn't my cup of tea.
