Great theory about the aeon of horus, plus it fits perfectly with Alice Anotherbible.
As the "book of the law" is filled with much personal interpretation, it reminds me of its mention in the bible (in deuteronomy, explaining about the ages), making a great allusion to the meaning of Alice and the ultimate of Horus.
Anyway, it suits Alice a lot, because the state of your "moral provation" in a world where only you are god... So it ends up not working for Touma's amorality, becoming the perfect teacher for Alice .
As said before, I love the ramifications of forces that GT5 demonstrates, the strength of the weak to heal the determination of the strong (as a healer), the strength of the strong to keep advancing through the world to save someone, and the strength of the soul corrupters in distorting the laws to destroy seeking to save something at the bottom of it all. The escape from the reality of Alice's world fits perfectly into this, and really kamachii makes me shiver! I really need to read more about Lewis Carrols as mitou shoukan and GT5 gave me goosebumps about the wonder tale of Alice

About Touma, I really believe that while NT22 is the perfect allocation of Aeons, NT22R is perfectly allocated in thelema.....
"Every man and every woman is a star to lose its shine, so find your place in the world of things and people before that" (existential crisis)
Thus, when Touma breaks his cycle of hatred by killing his past, he finds his place in the universe and finally overcomes the feathers that once destroyed him..... I identify this as OT being his spirit's salvation, NT the identity of your flesh to thelema and GT, the rebirth of roses (Kabbalah by Anna Sprengell)

Anyway, looking forward to GT8 to discover more of Anna and Alice, seeing which one means the era and which one Agatha (love). Seriously, Kamachii really is a freaking genius!!! (.... It was a little disappointing to find out that GT8 will take as long as GT4 did, and I really hope that's not a curse for a new medium volume, as for me, GT4 was pretty disappointing)

Very satisfying to talk to you, thanks Yakuza

Wow, what the fuck! This is really cool bro, I still have to get used to the Japanese language... At least I have another friend who knows enough about it, one day I intend to travel to Japan, or at least read something completely in Japanese

I love how the representation of the corazon arch behaves between the ages (Orsola, Mathers and Corazon) and for the love of the sons of science for aleister (Touma, Accelerator and Hamazura).......
Orsola represents the age of Isis, and Touma, the amoral and always kind motherhood of a mother. Mathers represents
Osiris, along with accelerator fatherhood, who leaves love to act as the judgment of a family man, or "the man of the house"
Corazon is mallath, and hamazura being the mix of touma and accelerator, falls perfectly into the question of "chaos and order" of this era

That said, my final insight is that although Aleister called them the children of science, he was the one who wanted a family the most, resulting in the beautiful ending of NT22... Accelerator receiving the power of final judgment (AC possession), Aleister seeking Touma's love and finally, accepting the inconsistencies of the world that run away from his plans, hamazura (an interesting point about the meaning of Aeon love, is "what is forever, is eternal", such as the perception of family and of love)

I don't know how far Kamachii thought, but I'm extremely satisfied with the main philosophy of each of the books (Salvation, thelema and... rebirth? Like you said, we don't know much yet.)

I hope Kamachii's mind lives on until then... And best wishes and happy holidays my king

Happy New Year, yakuza!
By the way, I took advantage of the eve to read GT7 after finishing mitou shoukan, and man, it was really awesome....

One thing I always like about Kamachii is how he often turns my theories inside out, and this volume's infordump was perfect for that.

Before, I thought Alice would represent the age of Horus, given the meaning of "child emperor", but that amazing twist with Anna made me completely rethink about that.

I mean, she just seemed like a decent villain with little writing (so much so that I was quite happy when she was replaced by Alice), but given the text "between the lines" in GT7, I was sunk by my prejudice....

Seeing how Anna gave up all her wrong choices that would accumulate in her understanding of right, and surrendered to the despair of her own madness, thus becoming a fun-crazed girl who sought the rose of her rebirth. Therefore, like Alice who was looking for a "teacher", she was looking for a "ruler".
In a way, Anna would be the stage Alice would reach if she continued down this path.

It also reminds me of "Madame Horus" in NT22, who stole the meaning of Anna, being reborn in NT22R.
Damn I'm really loving GT

I think it was in the middle of this time, but I doubt you'll find it right now.

I love these loredumping moments, especially with Kamachii digging up various gems around the journey!
I loved GT5 for the philosophical conclusion of the social arc between GT1-GT5, which honestly was quite unexpected, even for toaru molds.

Anyway, glad to see more positive thoughts about GT7. I probably won't read it until next month, because I think I'll first finish "mitou shoukan", another LN from Kamachii, and since I don't have much hope that it will be good, I'll leave GT7 as the dice reward after a bitter journey..... Although it seems a bit hypocritical to say this to someone who hasn't read it, but as Kamachii writes these other LNs more as a hobby and some tests for next Index arcs, I expect a lot of failures.

Anyway, thanks for the lack of spoilers!!!

so on the bible road i finally found you, huh?
It's an orgasmic pleasure to see you again, not least because I've seen you in some discussions about GT and Aleister Crowley.
What really got me this nostalgic feeling was 1-2 weeks ago where I coincidentally saw your name on a tier list about toaru characters.

You then said "My favorite is Accelerator, and second is Aleister, but as I've been rethinking the work a lot, this top can easily change"...... Seeing your top again, congratulations on predicting your fate lol

Anyway, simply magical girl aleister-tan, popularly known to NT19 (or maybe not so much...) as CEO OF RAPE

Ah, extra question before I forget and fall asleep..... What do you think of GT7, no spoilers!
My favorite so far has been GT5, which has become my seventh favorite volume of the entire series, and as I'm still a little busy with reading schedule and other chores, I wanted to quench my hunger for your tasteful opinion a bit.

Ah, that'd be the other thing I was wondering about. The way his circle would be depicted, if at all. What I think makes this even weirder is that it appears to be part of the same universe as that railgun series (which I'm not really familiar with, but I hear about it a lot). Yeah, good talk. Didn't really expect to have a discussion about occultism, Crowley, etc. on here. :P
Gsarthotegga Oct 14, 2022 11:05 PM
Yeah, with computers for studying and theory nowadays, they could do all kinds of things that would be unfamiliar to him. He'd lose against the top players, but it's not too fair of a comparison. He definitely did do some stupid things. Funny enough, I was friends with a man who was into Crowley and the occult heavily, did lots of drugs, was really into chess, did lots of stupid things, also a bad upbringing, and was quite intelligent. Probably these things are highly correlated with certain strands of occultism. Yeah, the Beast 666 thing was funny. XD
Gsarthotegga Oct 14, 2022 10:00 PM
I was thinking the anime adaptation looks kind of crap, and even with how many installments they made, I sort of doubt they managed to cram in all of that unless they're doing a good number of cuts. I was guessing beforehand that they probably used the spy element, as that's always an interesting angle. He's interesting and talented, but people will often see people who are occultists as quite backward, even though most of the older ones were generally pretty intelligent and educated. It might be because of the state of modern occultism... I mean, what's the first thing that comes to mind when one hears the word occult? Probably Wicca or some crap like that. You'll also see it associated with Hollywood, celebrities, and wealthy "influencers."

It's been a while since I've read much about Crowley, but on the topic of something like pedophilia. I'm not sure, but since he was known to be bisexual, pederasty is a more salient term, and it's actually inclusive of quite a range of ages, even "acceptable ages," depending on the context; in fact, when we're talking about Catholic sex scandals, the term "pedophilia" is used regularly, but the boys in question are often too old to apply. Pedophilia is... a very abused word. I can't count the number of reviews I've seen on here where the p-word is used, and it doesn't apply (I've even seen it used for characters in high school ffs).

What I will say about the left-hand path brand of magic/occultism is that there is a belief that power can be derived from certain unorthodox behaviors, not all of them sexual, but they can be sexual—for example, homosexuality was shunned at the time, so that carried greater potency as a practice in association with the left-hand path, as well as other sexual behaviors, like BDSM or other things... I'm sure the same case could be made for pedophilia, and when people conflate pedophilia rings with occultism or satanism, that's kind of the implication there. Mind you, I'm not making any specific claims about Crowley, but I'm speaking more generally.

With that in mind, there is another context for these allegations.

Hmm... I forgot about him being into chess. I should check if his games are available. That's always amusing.
Gsarthotegga Oct 14, 2022 8:28 PM
Oh, wow! I didn't know Aleister Crowley was reinterpreted for a LN/anime, which makes me rather curious what they do with the character in the series. From looking at some of the art outside of the anime, I can even see a bit of a resemblance with the eyes and such. Did you see many notable things from your research that corresponded with the real Crowley? Crowley is another figure I'd like to research more eventually.

Gsarthotegga Oct 14, 2022 8:03 PM
lol I've had this question before. I'll integrate what I previously said with my answer here, and I'll provide a more detailed, possibly tl;dr response.

I just thought it was kind of funny, and it stood out on an anime site where it's all like high school girl avatars, and I think it synergizes well with my name. Gsarthotegga comes from Clark Ashton Smith, a horror/sci-fi/fantasy author who was part of Lovecraft's circle of friends. Also, the history here is kind of interesting as Aleister Crowley drew this before the gray alien craze really started and the only real deviation with the modern pop culture variant is they tend to opt for those big, black, soulless eyes that are like gazing into an abyss. Not a Crowley fan, but I thought it went better with my name than most other things I saw. Another thing about the eyes that interest me is that the image of the alien derives from theosophy, and most of those accounts were of "aryans," (Claude Vorilhon was a late example, and he concocted a religion/cult out of this), but in time it morphed into this more alien-like creature. I feel like Crowley's image is sort of like a "missing link," where you have the basic look of the alien but more... "relatable" eyes... I have a minor interest in alien/UFO history—from a "skeptic" perspective, however.

Also, I specifically wanted a name that was kind of unwieldy or enigmatic, which another user might not remember or wonder about the origin of, but it stands out like a sore thumb when you see it. Same for the pic, which is kind of creepy/funny. I know you didn't ask about the name, but they kind of go hand in hand.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
