Wow you've got a lot on your plate then xD. You cosplay!? That's awesome! Who's your favorite to cosplay as?

How long have you been doing karate? I took some taekwondo when I was younger but didn't stick with it sadly.

Usually these days gaming is taking a priority over anime and chatting on here. Me and some friends discovered Hearthstone and have been going hard into it lately. I have so many unfinished games on my shelves though that it seems like I'll never find time to finish them x_x. I usually try and get in some anime/manga each morning and chat on here a little bit before I leave for work so at least there's that keeping me in the game!

Few tips? Okay. Have fun and don't lose. Not much else to it I think. You don't game very often?
Vensito May 9, 2014 7:30 AM
Oh you should! They're awesome fun. Even if the cases are pretty straight forward sometimes with who the culprit is, it's all about finding out how to persecute them and finding evidence and stuff. The reactions are so over-the-top it just makes the game too much fun to play through.

Your mom talks like that to you xD? You guys must have quite the close relationship lol. I've never known my mom to call anyone "da man" before.

Not often, the only ones I've actually watched are adaptations of manga or video games xD. The Phoenix Wright one was surprisingly fun to watch though.

Weird how parents don't like our newfangled Japanese animes :P. Death Note is quite the weird introduction show for you to show them though since Light is given such an antagonist role in the show xD.

I don't think it'll take THAT long. I bet we'll see a sequel to it within the year(maybe).

Didn't know that xxxHolic had a live-action adaptation. It any good? The only live-action adaptation I watched of a manga is Liar Game and that was quite fun. Oh and the Death Note movies.

You watch a lot of j-dramas?

I usually pick up mangas if I'm really enjoying an anime and just can't wait for another episode/season to come out. So I just dive into the manga. I agree with you somewhat on Shingeki no Kyojin. Just for the fact that the presentation was so amazing in the anime made it worth watching. I thought a lot of the horror aspects of the manga didn't really translate that well into anime though(the titans seemed more silly than scary really) but that's really minor. I hope they decide to adapt the rest of the series since leaving it off with an un-finished ending is kinda bleh.

I really like CLAMP mangas, but I don't really like CLAMP animes xD. It's weird. They really ruined TRC for me and Chobits was kinda... eh. Still have to check out xxxHolic and CCS though. You a big CLAMP fan?

I hear great things about Vinland Saga but haven't sat down and read it yet.

I think anime has some advantages over manga since it can add to the atmosphere using sound so if done right, an anime should always be better than it's manga-counterpart, but sometimes this isn't the case. There's also a difference in quality when comparing the art of a manga with the art of an anime. Some exceptional cases might not translate that well from manga to anime. I do really like to watch anime for manga I read but the opposite isn't always that true. Some anime I'd rather not revisit. I think anime is better than manga in general, but usually for adaptations the manga is better the majority of the time. There are quite a few animes that go above and beyond for adaptations and create something incredible for fans though.
What do you think?

I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I told myself back in 2008 that I'd read the manga and still haven't gotten around to it xD.

Hmmm... Probably Shounen Gangan. They do other shounen series like Soul Eater and Full Metal Alchemist, but also have serialized dark survival games like Judge and Doubt. But I think my favorite has to be Monthly Afternoon, which is a seinen manga publisher. They have serialized some amazing works like Mushishi, Vinland Saga, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, Blame!, Eden: It's an Endless World! and the list just goes on and on. If you are interested in some awesome seinen manga you should check out some of their titles!

Everyone loves Dio, it's the cool thing to do these days xD. There was a parody of his "WRRRRRYYYYY" in the last No Game No Life episode from this season which just shows you how popular the series has gotten lately.

Bleach has slowed down immensely in terms of excitement for me ever since they finished Aizen. I think Tite Kubo's style still melds really well with the villains and fight sequences in the manga, even more so than it used to. It seems he's come into his own in terms of his art and he can make any action sequence very exciting. But aside from that I'm not very interested in the direction Bleach has been going lately :\.
Naruto on the other hand has gotten a lot better and more character-driven as of late(late being like 100 chapters xP) so that's really fun to read now and I'm very much enjoying it.

Favorite SJ? Probably Death Note, just because of the anime really. I still listen to the OST whenever I'm reading manga and it always puts me in a tranquil mood. But for more traditional shounen-action series, probably One Piece. There's not a lot to complain about with it and there's a lot to like. It's definitely one of the funner experiences I've had while watching anime, plus the theme song is addicting as crack.

Outside of Shounen-Jump, are there any other magazines you particularly like to check out series from?

Oh! I saw you started Stardust Crusaders, did you go nuts over it like me and my friends did :O!?
Vensito Apr 16, 2014 3:40 AM
Yeah Mushishi is pretty cool. It's very chill and has some great art direction in it. Maybe you could marathon both series when the new one finished x3?

I think I'll catch this one before it gets outta my reach(like with Bakuman). Since I've been interesting in the manga for awhile now and I'm always in the mood for some Shounen Jump.
Speaking of which, I saw you were still keeping up with Bleach and Naruto. What are your thoughts on them?
Vensito Apr 14, 2014 11:43 AM
Yeah, it should be fine. After a weekend of rest I'm ready to go for another week!

I'm checking out Mushishi, Jojo's, Ping Pong, and No Game No Life currently. They're all really cool and I'm definitely interested in the latter two. How's Haikyuu? I kinda wanna start that one up but need an excuse to :P.
Vensito Apr 9, 2014 7:43 AM
Hey there! Sorry for the late reply, these past couple weeks at work have been hell Dx.

You check out the new season of anime yet?
Vensito Mar 27, 2014 2:51 PM
He looks cool, I'd vote for him for sure! Although his head seems to be quite large(don't tell him I said that, I don't want him feeling self-conscience about it xP). Why do you think he won't win the election this year? Also, how often do you vote your new leader into office where you're at?

To achieve world peace we must bow down to our machine overlords and be stuck in a cryogenic sleep where we can live out our peaceful lives oblivious to the world around us. So basically, MAKE THE MATRIX REAL! That's the only way.
Vensito Mar 24, 2014 2:29 PM
You can still vote for him. In your heart :D!

You have to be 18 years to vote in the US sadly. I was 17 when Obama was voted into presidency.

Who's your nation's leader?
Vensito Mar 24, 2014 1:26 PM
I feel like I've seen him in some recent animes as well...Hmm.. Must be spreading awareness of his Affordable Care Act through anime to appeal more to the youth of today.

He's cool. Back in 2008 when I was still in High School, it was the THING to go and vote for him so all my classmates were doing it. Sadly I was too young at the time to vote :(.

Do you vote?
