Erm... So, are you about Maison Ikkoku or LotGH?
Anyway, if you're about LotGH, then I recommend you strongly to watch this. I found it really epic-made, with all this military style, pure sci-fi without any mysterious/magic or simply just unrealistic things (like in Warhammer 40000), and of course - lots of interesting characters with their own destinies and lifestyles.
And if you're about Maison Ikkoku, then I could only say that because of the author, the animation seems to be grotesque and comedic, but still - this is and old-school anime/manga, so there would be no cliche's in the plot. (I have not watched it yet, but I've watched and read Urusei Yatsura as the first Rumiko Takahashi's manga, and found it interesting).
So overalls, watch them both. Old-school anime is better than modern, as I think (looking at all this ecchi imouto crap and overrated meguca)

i always go HERE if wanna find something or watching good drama..[have about 578 japanese series..]..well right now my internet connection **** so too slow to search to many web pages..[if i found it, ill tell u..] :D

ano....i also not sure [too many anime+games+tvseries+assignment come..cant remember which one]..btw, u know who the main actor??maybe i can help u to search it since my little brother loves to watch drama jp/kor/tw at tv/internet. [i cant ask him now..he not online :D]

Yes,but there are only few manga in my country.That's why I haven't read many yet.
