Hello there residents of MAL, here is a brief self-introduction about me. i'm from malaysia, resides in selangor. right now attending Uitm university doing my degree. i love to make new friends out there.i think i've already watched tons of quality anime. my favourites are as you can see monster and code geass.I'm also a big fan of KOTOKO, fripside, and Kalafina songs. I,m a supporter of Misaka Mikoto, Kuroneko, Charlotte and Katsura Hinagiku in ISML 2013.I'm also into some korean drama.My favourite seiyuu is the legendary seiyuu queen Megumi Hayashibara.Lets hope they make more good animes in the future. love and peace.

Anyway, if you're about LotGH, then I recommend you strongly to watch this. I found it really epic-made, with all this military style, pure sci-fi without any mysterious/magic or simply just unrealistic things (like in Warhammer 40000), and of course - lots of interesting characters with their own destinies and lifestyles.
And if you're about Maison Ikkoku, then I could only say that because of the author, the animation seems to be grotesque and comedic, but still - this is and old-school anime/manga, so there would be no cliche's in the plot. (I have not watched it yet, but I've watched and read Urusei Yatsura as the first Rumiko Takahashi's manga, and found it interesting).
So overalls, watch them both. Old-school anime is better than modern, as I think (looking at all this ecchi imouto crap and overrated meguca)
