Oh I was stalking your favourites, what did you like about Kaguya? I'd like to watch it soon :>

I-I don't really mind you stalking me. >////<

Well, it doesn't really have much difference in humor compared to SZS, which mostly revolves around the humor built on trivial situations and topics. Both have the same author anyway, so you can pretty much expect Joshiraku to have the same kind of humor in SZS. The characters in Joshiraku also have some of their enjoyable quirks, same as in SZS, which get used in certain situations mostly for comedic effect. Not as much of a cast as SZS but the characters' individual traits definitely make up for it. You might get the impression that the dark humor might get turned down, since it's a CGDCT show, but the traits I've mentioned above still allows the show to get into discussions regarding it. I'd say it's pretty enjoyable, not as visually stimulating as SZS, but since you liked SZS you'll pretty much enjoyed it too.

Interesting. I can't say I was very engaged by the story or characters myself, although the avant garde style of storytelling was certainly a breath of fresh air in an anime industry that feels increasingly stagnant. I see you also are a fan of Mushishi. That was also a rather rare and interesting specimen. The melancholic yet peaceful storytelling along with the existential themes and highly surrealist imagery reminded much more of a European arthouse film than an anime. Have you ever seen Stalker by Tarkovsky? It is in many ways a LOT like Mushishi only even better.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
