I find myself rooting for Osamu nonetheless, though it does hurt when his overall ability is constantly thrown in his face as if he doesn't get it. Kinda like how in Eva no matter what I'll always find Shinji to be the most interesting character despite him being so frustratingly downtrodden and unreliable.
To be fair, though, it's not a bad thing. Sometimes I can find myself disliking a MC because they are so prone to being the best or awakening to some sort of over-powered ability. I guess it all depends on execution because I can enjoy both kinds, but I'm kinda pulling for Osamu to at least turn competent in his fighting talents despite him showing a good aptitude for being a strategic support outside of actual fights- lets face it, it's where he belongs.
Hmm, I'm wondering myself since it's really bugging me. I thought it started out interesting with elements of 'Lord of the Flies' sort of societal distrust and suspicion, but now it has the feel of a David Lynch flick, yes- the feel.
Finishing it tomorrow, so then I'll know for sure, but it's okay; nothing awful yet, but I can understand how some might not like it at all. For sure.
Oh yea my stomach is more than satisfied. I even has a slice with some vanilla ice cream. Now i'm just staring at the moon with the millions of stars that surround this planet.
