I remember anime from back in the "Battle of the Planets" days. I was re-introduced to the genre back in the late 90s when Sailor Moon was airing on Toonami. Now, I'm pretty up-to-date with anime titles through fansubs and a RentAnime.com subscription. I'm still behind a little on the manga scanlation scene, but I'm trying to catch up.

I tend to be more of a fan of manga than anime because (1) it's cheaper, (2) there's more variety, and (3) the plots seem to be better in general. I have a nice collection of about 200 manga that slowly growing. Compare that to the 13 anime DVDs I own and manga is obviously winning out.

~Update~

I'm pretty much dropping off the anime/manga radar. There are some titles I'll keep reading/watching until I finish them up or decide to drop them, but there aren't many of said titles. I won't be picking up any new titles at this time.

ya. i know what you mean. every episode is pretty much the same. each season has the same character types and a new love interest. i personally think the manga is the best.

that doesn't sound very fun at all :P But I'm glad you are good for the moment, relax and take it all in while you can.

I'm pretty good. My son just went down for a nap, so I'm going to get ready to go sand and paint a dresser I'm restoring. :)

You know, as far as anime compatability, I usually never see anyone over 65-70. But you are the first VERY HIGH person I've met! We have like 40 anime in common and we judge about the same too. Man are we cool :D

Eerie Queerie is so cute to read since the characters are so child-like but the plot is so R-rated. When you read manga, do you tend to act as some of your favorite characters randomly and for no apparent reason? I always get caught up acting like Tohru Honda out of the blue, then feel like slapping myself because my act is so fake:) I'm knew here, by the way.

well, for me... i found out about it from my firend. i didnt even read manga before she introduced me to it. and its a wonder i liked it because im very picky when it comes to manga. thats why i only have two on my list.
