2) Ha-ha! Looks like you just cannot into truly emotional anime! It can't be helped, I think. I'm afraid, the longer discussion makes no sense, but...
3) As far as I remember, magical girls transmit energy (negative emotions) into grief seeds while purifying their own soul gems. The energy stored there can be used by QB as he wants (for example, to make more magical girls) after he takes the grief seed. In TV series, since emotional energy does not depend on thermodynamics laws, it can be used to prevent the world from the heat death. 4) I'm not sure they are parallel, it's more like there are different timelines, and every time after Homura returns back into the past, she makes a new timeline because of altering the present. These actions could make space-time anomalies which affected some parallel universes and caused incredible rise of Madoka's power in all dimensions. There is no precise concept of parallel universes in this title.
5) Do you mean Timeline 4? Was it that necessary to show the murdering of QB one more time?
