Hey, nice review on Maria Watches Over Us. I just finished watching episode 6 and decided to drop it. I had high expectations, but It didn't quite deliver.

Agreed. Could have done without both of those parts.

I liked all of the characters in the first part. I didn't really like Nicole as much, because it seemed like it was going to be a weird sister complex, but that turned out to be fine. I think Keith was great, especially as a kid. Honestly I think the characters were all good or fine, except Sirius at the end who was just a terribly written mess.

Least favorite parts were the book episode or the finale in the basement. Both of those were very weird to me.

Agreed. The first few episodes were fantastic. I wish it had stayed with them as kids for a bit longer, or maybe gradually showed them growing up rather than a sudden time skip. It's always disappointing when you enjoy a lot about a show but it finds a way to ruin part of that. It was good when it was just trying to be funny. Once it got too serious it started to fall apart (as is often the downfall of comedy).

I like your Next Life as a Villainess review. I think a lot of people didn't even notice/overlook the drop in quality in the second half. Not sure why. I agree that the first part was super enjoyable but it really tanked off toward the end. Especially the last 2 episodes.
