I'm a bit late, but I've just finished my exams for pass to the next year the other yesterday and I had lost so much episodes. I hadn't still finished watching all the episodes I missed.

In your Mahouka review, you wrote that you only watched one episode and you already feel it's a terrible anime. I'm not disagreeing with you there, I don't think Mahouka's a good anime, but I just feel like saying that you can't review it (or any anime) after just one episode.
Most anime are around 13 episodes, with around 25 minutes each, so it'd be around 5-6 hours of total playing time. One episode (25 minutes) is not nearly enough time to show off everything that that anime has to offer. Some anime have really boring first episodes, which serve mainly as introductions, and then became really awesome later on.
Now, this doesn't really apply to comedy/slice-of-life shows, since they don't really rely on plot, but with action/adventure anime, they need more time to tell the story. One episode isn't enough.
If you felt like dropping Mahouka after one episode, then that's fine, nobody is forcing you to watch it, but at least watch 3-4 episodes to fully get what the anime is all about. And this applies to any anime, too. Don't expect every show that sounds interesting to have a masterpiece of a first episode.

Loved the review, though I never even watched that anime. But from all the research I did about it, it's just cliche anime with stupid characters, pathetic plot meant to entertain brain dead people and that brotherxsister thing is just ... I will be silent. :D
