Hmm, I don't watch much of my anime on Netflix, but I know they have Hell Girl/Jigoku Shoujo, Mnemosyne, Ghost in the Shell, and Blood+ which I thought were pretty good.

I'd be happy to recommend anime, but I have no idea what Netflix has on offer. Is there a list where I can find out?

(please read with caution, if you haven’t seen this show by this episode read with caution)

finished the final episode of Mushi-shi.

This is my first anima about a the main charecter being a male.

Not too shabby. The first show I wondered if this anima was going to take a; weird, paranormal, the exorcist kinda spin that was going to be kinda scary to watch. Not at all, in fact this show was something that I will one day have my young child watch.

I felt that this show was very much like folklore; tall tales that children would hear from their parents when they would ask “why are the clouds in the sky”?

Mushi-shi’s acoustics were very simple, and the theme was always very well explained. I hung on every word.

While watching a scene with a mountain in the back I felt the artistry in the background was amazing! However, I started to think differently… I do believe that the artistry was lazy… Please forgive me, I am new to the anima scene but the eyes not being drawn at a far distance bothered me. I understand how stupid this seems, however I found that throughout the anima, the scenes with the eyes nearer to you, were not drawn more and more. I don’t understand why there was nothing else there. Not a line, a dot nothing, at first I thought it meant something. But, It didn’t…

This is my only complaint, I don’t think I would feel this way if this was not proclaimed to be an “award winning show” by netflix, but giving that show this title made me expect more from the artistry. Please keep in mind this is the only thing that I can complain on…

The show ends well? Did it have a tiny cliffhanger? A summarized ending? I don’t know? I thought there would be more with the mushi that burned your eyes out… but there wasn’t…. (see why the eyes not drawn in bothered me?)

Other than that, great show. I really mean that, I will show these to my kids. Hell, maybe I’ll just try and tell it to them as a bed time story. Either way… I enjoyed it.

Cheers.

I just finished watching Season 1 Episode 12 of Mushi-shi!

(please read with caution, if you haven’t seen this show by this episode read with caution)

One-eyed fish

According to Netflix this show is an “award-winning’ phenomenon, basically about a Mushi, (like the food), walks around solving; afterlife phenomenon. You start to wonder about the one eyed blonde man, then episode 12 comes, the one eyed fish, there is a subtle hint to this middle cliffhanger that I hope will conclude.

It starts by episode ____________________ you learn about a mushi that is creating a problem in a young girl’s life. The story line finishes well and gives you one settle hint; you would never know this if you missed this show. I very much enjoy the scene with the moon light and the young girl. When ginko catches the mushi, and what he does…

Now, episode 12, comes and you learn what subtle hint he was talking about, basically a Kinko with brown hair. You find out answers to his one eye, and his ferocity for understanding muchi.

P.S. Thank you, Yuki Urushibara, for creating this wonderful anima, it made me believe that anima art is more than just monsters with armor. The story line is very important. I will continue to watch.
