Dude, I don't even know what genre of manga/anime I like. I read shoujo and josei the most. But I also enjoy shounen and seinen genres. I'm down to read/watch anything. I'm constantly running out of things to read/watch so recommendations would be coolio. (I prefer manga but still like anime.)
I tend to rate things higher than some should be because idk I feel bad about rating something low.
My "rating" style (ha I'm just a random person on the internet don't worry too much about my opinions):
10 - Wow wow wow this is awesome stuff (I might put things that many may not think are 10/10 as 10 because I just personally really like it, and I go back and re-read/ re-watch it all the time). Wish I could erase my memory so I can watch it from the beginning again and enjoy it like new.
9 - Niiiiiice good stuff (but not a masterpiece level 10)
8 - Very nice but there was something that was missing or something that could have been improved to make it amazing
7 - Nice/ By no means bad in anyway it was just good like a cake but just without frosting
6 - Okay, yeah it was okay
5 - Dime in a dozen (average)
4 - Not my cup of tea (I still read/watched it though because I'm trash)
3 - Kill it
2 - Kill it with fire
1 - Abomination + kill it + kill it with fire + please no + wish I could erase my memory

Though to be fair, I probably don't need the applause cause I went crazy a long time ago from watching and reviewing bad anime for several years. My resume includes: Glasslip, Haruchika, Ange Vierge, Sister Testament, Denpa Kyoushi, Isuca, Unlimited Fafnir, and most recently, Hand Shakers. The list goes on and on, but these are the ones that are objectively bad for the most part.
